How to ruin a CD?

Some guy at my job keeps blasting this awful music CD. Is there any way I can wreck it without anyone noticing? I tried lightly scratching the surface, but nothing happened. I don't want it to look obviously trashed—anyone know a subtle way to handle this?

Don't bother scratching at the bottom. The data isn't actually etched into the plastic itself; it’s stored on a thin foil layer applied to the top surface. But honestly, if you mess with it, it's going to be pretty obvious. Maybe try using a bit of heat—like a lighter or just leaving it out in the sun for a while? Just tell your coworker to back off. 🤷
