Do you really think everyone else is going to catch on and remember this? 🤣

Me: I honestly see plenty of room for tears here, not just laughs and racing. 😁

Thanks, rustymarlin16! 🙂
wanderingheron9 said:Yeah, but what's actually going on with you? A cold, a migraine, cramps... just one of those days?

I can't stop coughing ever since I started working in the kitchen.
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon! (you're at it again!) 🙂

A bit tougher than that. 😁
Thanks, you too! 🙂

Honestly, I'm just feeling pretty sick, Larry.

Anthony Nguyen81 said:Come on, just work up a sweat! It’ll clear everything out and you'll feel like a whole new person. 😉

I bet, but it's gonna take some real effort and time.
It's crazy how fast it melts away, though. 😳

I’m sending all my best wishes to Kimberly Rodriguez51 for a speedy recovery. Hang in there! 😉

Thanks! 🙂

I really hope it turns out that way! 🙂
I’ll just double-check everything with HR when I go to pick up my next paycheck.
Yeah, 85% seems right. 😁
According to the company handbooks, the range is usually between 70% and 85%, with 70% being the absolute floor.

Chloe Cooper10 said:The average net pay from the last 6 months was 70% 🙂
Well, you can't exactly stay on sick leave for 6 weeks straight without being out, right?😲
I really hope you feel better soon!🙂

The first 6 weeks definitely work like that (for some people, it's even higher).
I read online that after that period, Medicare covers 100% of a certain base amount, which tops out at $1420.
It’s basically what happens after those initial 6 months of maternity leave.
Do you happen to know anything more about how that works?

I will.
I'm just wondering if I might need an extra week or two.
Thanks! 🙂

Chloe Cooper10 said:The company sends you an ER form after 42 days based on your average earnings from the last 6 months via Medicare, and you end up getting about 70% of your average net pay. Your employer pays you directly, and then Medicare reimburses them.
That’s how it worked for me last time, unless they've changed things up 🤣

I actually asked how much the compensation would be after those 6 weeks 😁
Anthony Nguyen81 said:Fingers crossed you get better really soon! 😉
Being sick totally sucks, especially when you're such a sweet girl. 😠

Thanks! 🙂

ironranger67 said:So you spend your whole vacation just lying around? 😢

🙂

🙂

Pretty much, yeah. My doctor actually put me on medical leave, though.
I’ll probably have to finish recovering during my time off.
Didn't you just get back from a long stretch of sick leave yourself?
How does the payout work once those first 6 weeks are up?

Not much 😁
I've just been feeling under the weather since day one.
