Terry Reed13 said:Totally. The bottom photo shows her looking natural, but that top one is just a heavily Photoshopped version of a Photoshopped picture of Britney Spears, all done up by high-end makeup artists.🤣

🤣 🤣

It didn't even say it was her! I had no clue.😁

The top photo can't be a real woman, and even for the bottom one, I find it hard to believe she's actually naturally beautiful.☕

Why not? She's real, just heavily Photoshopped.😁
Btw, doesn't she kind of remind you of Britney Spears?🤣

What's the point of required reading? in Students & Teens ·
We used to have such awesome debates in my lit class, and it wasn't even just about the assigned reading.
I’ve been a total bookworm since I was little, and I actually loved reading the required books all the way up until fourth grade. 😁
Now I kind of regret skipping them, though I did end up picking a few up later on.

Did they really cut Baudelaire from the curriculum? 😲

🤦 🤦
Blue tint around the edges, not swelling. Blue fingers, narrow nose.
First off, people with the flu can usually still stand, walk, breathe, and talk just fine.
Second, he wasn't on flu meds; he was on an antibiotic from his pediatrician since Friday, which was clearly the wrong call if he was still acting crazy and feeling miserable through Saturday and Sunday.
Which brings us right back to the ER.
And it goes to show that even when you don't have a clue about what's actually happening in a case, you're still out here arguing anyway.

Look, you can either pretend you’ve actually read most of the articles in this thread, or just admit you're having a hard time following along.
I’m not trying to go on a witch hunt here, I just want to point out where things clearly went wrong.
It honestly burns me up when people get all worked up at the first person who finally realizes how bad it is that they wouldn't let her have an IV or oxygen in her own room, even though the ER was only 15 seconds away. And then you have people acting like it's perfectly fine that a kid with a fever on antibiotics had to be sent back twice last weekend, lecturing us on how we need to "understand" that the ER doesn't have a lab running on weekends.
TWICE.

P.S. If you actually look through those articles, it says the doctor spotted sepsis just by looking at her—the poor kid was lethargic, confused, turning blue around the edges, and struggling to breathe.

briskbison55 said:Who's actually judging her? Seriously, nobody—not here and certainly not in those reports being spread by tabloids. If she messed up some paperwork during processing, that’s just a force majeure situation.

The Chamber and state inspectors will be all over this within weeks if those news reports are actually right.
It looks like you're still a bit out of the loop. There's no way that doctor made a mistake in her diagnosis; she could tell the kid was septic just by looking at him through the door.
And we aren't talking about an "act of God" here. We're talking about parents who were literally begging for help and kept getting turned away.

rapidtrucker78 said:>>You're right, I misspoke there. Honestly, anyone who didn't get him to the hospital immediately shares the blame. As for the pediatrician, I just don't get why they didn't establish an IV line, start an infusion, and then clearly outline the treatment plan for the transport.
She probably just panicked, thinking they’d make it to the hospital in time.
Whether that infusion and oxygen would have actually saved him is anyone's guess, but she should have seen her job through to the end.

After checking him out, the pediatrician took him and his dad down to the ER, which was just one floor away from her office.
Once he was in the ER, they gave him oxygen, started an IV, and called for a medevac.
Or maybe they didn't—I don't know—but if they didn't, that's on them.
It doesn't make sense to expect a doctor in a regular outpatient clinic to handle a critical emergency when the actual ER is just 15 minutes away.
And the ER staff, as much as I know they were struggling with tough conditions, sent him home twice that weekend.
Twice! A kid with a fever who was already on antibiotics gets sent back home twice.
Then, in the inspection report, they start making excuses about how hard it is to work there and how they lack lab diagnostics, yet somehow this pediatrician is the one getting blamed for not providing adequate care.
That's what really gets me worked up.
