Hmm, processors automatically adjust their clock speeds based on how much work they're doing—especially mobile ones, just to save power. In my opinion, this isn't actually a malfunction...
Jonathan Walker14 As specified by: Does anyone have any idea why my laptop won't connect to the internet after I reinstalled Windows? I set up the system, plugged in the LAN cable, and connected it directly to the router, but nothing is happening. Usually, I have to manually establish the connection. I already tried restarting both the modem and the router, but still no luck...🤷
Once you've finished reinstalling Windows, you'll need to make sure you install the LAN driver as well...
Your best bet is to grab an external hard drive or even just a USB flash drive, move all your essential files over to it, and then plug it into your laptop...
Once you've got everything backed up, go ahead and format the hard drive on the old machine and perform a fresh reinstall of Windows.
Well, you were actually the first one to start rambling about these supposedly "better" programs that require Windows, but you still haven't specified which ones they are. Or maybe just admit you aren't really sure what you're talking about... there's no shame in that.
Larry Ortiz5 said:If they bundled Windows 7 Starter with the laptop, it’s probably a budget model, so there's really no point in upgrading to anything better than what came with it.
I actually had a Starter edition on an old HP netbook. Once I upgraded to Pro, it felt like a completely different machine... it runs so much smoother than the Starter version did.

What kind of software are we talking about when you say "better" programs?...
Keanu Reeves is only good in The Matrix and Speed; everything else is just terrible.
Nicolas Cage... personally, I think he's great... I know he isn't exactly the best actor, and his expressions can be a bit odd, but he really works for me in certain movies. Face/Off, The Rock, Drive Angry, Lord of War, Matchstick Men, Snake Eyes, and Con Air... those are the ones I actually enjoy...
