Girl, don't listen to them—or rather, don't even read those comments. Honestly, it's probably just an ingrown hair.

Take a look at that link and see if you fall into the high-risk groups or if your symptoms match up...
In the US, most doctors won't even recognize it. They usually just brush it off as boils or ingrown hairs at first. It's only when the old ones keep coming back and new ones start popping up that things get serious.
