Went to see my doctor today and she said my arm isn't actually broken. She put me on some antibiotics and told me to soak a cloth in apple cider vinegar and water to wrap around it. I have a follow-up in two days. She was pretty shocked when she saw what it looked like 😁
Hey,
Went snowboarding today (still a total newbie) and I definitely wiped out at least 100 times. Some falls were minor, others... not so much.
One hit was pretty rough, though. I took a fall at maybe 31 miles/h right on my elbows and my left one really started aching. But, being me, I just kept going and ended up slamming that same elbow a bunch more times. About three hours later, we headed down for some beers and I realized my arm was swelling so much it was tight against my jacket. When I went to the restroom to change, I was actually shocked—my arm was super swollen, probably looks pretty bad 🤣. Obviously, I wasn't about to go back out and kill myself on the slopes, so I just called it a day. Currently icing it with some gel.
Just wondering if it’s just a bad bruise and swelling? I can still move my arm through all its usual motions, it just hurts like hell.
Thanks 🙂

"we bodybuilders use it as a high protein, and high amino acid supplement"

@Jason Campbell70- honestly I've only got about 44 miles left, so I'd probably just skip it lol
as for joining a gym, I'll have to think about it. Between membership fees and buying protein, there's gonna be less money left for hitting the bars 😁
So, basically, it’s not worth blowing my cash on protein just for that?
edit: I throw in some short sprints about every kilometer or so, but I know plenty of guys who play soccer (just recreationally) and never touch a weight in the gym, yet their legs are still pretty solid.
omg, so how do soccer players end up with such "massive" legs, if that's even the right way to put it? Doesn't it matter if the muscle is actually working and under tension?
So, I recently started running, usually doing about 6-4.4 miles miles at a time. I'm looking to build up some leg strength too. A buddy of mine can hook me up with some whey and soy protein blends (not sure which brand yet, but I can check), but I’ve been reading online that soy might not be the best move? For context, I'm 183cm and weigh around 78-79kg right now. How much should I be taking post-workout, and is it realistic to expect the scale to move up a bit over time—maybe hitting 80-81kg?
