I mean, yeah, they got robbed, but if someone ruins your shot at a championship with some reckless call in the final minute—like, nullifying a goal right at the buzzer—you’d expect people to burn the whole town down, torch the stadium, and start marching toward D.C. on foot, but instead? Absolute silence.
This is what's been eating at me for 11 years now.🤷
Look, I’m basically an opposing fan, but I’m also just a local living in this city. I went to that game out east, but because the crowds were so insane, I ended up missing my crew and had to watch the whole thing solo in the stands.
The second that goal gets called back, I’m jumping on the railing, shaking the damn thing, just looking for anyone to go off on, trying to figure out how to vent all that rage—and then I look around, and there are 7,000 or 8,000 people just standing there, staring blankly. As soon as the ref blows the final whistle, everyone just turns around and walks out. For the first time in my life, I actually understood the true meaning of WTF.
I couldn't believe it. Here I am, someone who doesn't even root for the home team—hell, I usually have nothing but bad experiences with their fans—😍and I’m ready to take action, totally losing my mind, while everyone else is just chill. Just typical laid-back locals, too polite to even voice a grievance, while the big shots over at Central Park are throwing a victory party.👎
And you, man, you’re driving me crazy.😠
Seriously, would Caves ever stop trying to find a way to talk trash about the Kansas City Chiefs or the Wildcats in every single thread?🤣
