Missed period after 2 months—could I be pregnant? in Women's Health ·
Emily Diaz5 said:The last time I had sex was at the beginning of November, and I was on birth control. I had my regular period for the next two months, but now, for the first month, it just hasn't come. I went through a really stressful stretch from late November through early January. I've also dealt with ovarian cysts a few times before, which cleared up after those pills. I read somewhere that it’s possible to have issues in these first few months, so I'm just asking. Thanks.

It's totally possible for birth control to mess with your cycle. Like, if you start a new pack, your period might skip, so even if it feels like you've missed two months, maybe you've really only missed one? But from what I understand—and I'm no doctor—you usually get your period once you stop taking the pills because the hormones drop.

At the end of the day, you're the only one who knows if there's a chance you could be pregnant... I mean, did you have unprotected sex or anything?!!!!

P.S. If you stop using birth control, I don't know how to explain it perfectly, but it's like your body ramps up its ability to conceive.
That's why some women take them for a month right before starting IVF, then they stop...
