I remember this one time back when I was younger—my stepfather’s sister actually washed my hair while I was on my period, and then, just minutes later, she passed away. Now, I know what you're thinking—someone’s going to jump in and say it was just a freak coincidence—but fast forward a few years, and another aunt (not even related to me, mind you) did the exact same thing during my cycle, and she died too. I’ve heard plenty of old wives' tales and superstitions about how you shouldn't wash your hair during that time, but honestly? I’ve been washing my hair on day one of my period since forever and I’ve been perfectly fine... I think it all just comes down to the individual's constitution or whatever.
