I actually went with full catering for my wedding, including all the desserts and the cake from Lydia, and I honestly can't recommend them enough 🙂
restlesspanther42 said:The old referrals will probably stay valid for about another year, depending on the specific service and type.

All referrals are valid for 30 days, during which you need to contact the facility and actually book the appointment listed on the referral. If you end up being scheduled six months out, don't sweat it—the referral will still be valid.

The main thing is just making sure you place the order within 30 days of it being issued. 🙂

I appreciate the help. 🙂
I was wondering if anyone could clarify how long those current referrals for Category C specialist appointments actually remain valid—specifically, will they still be honored once we hit September 1st?
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I have never used any kind of birth control in my life, not even once, but now that I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS, Yasmin has been suggested to me as an option.
I actually went out of my way to see a cardiologist, an endocrinologist, a gynecologist, and my primary care doctor, all because I was determined to hear every single perspective; I simply refuse to take something I don't need, especially if the medical advice I'm getting is contradictory.
What they told me is that once I manage to get back to my original weight and get my blood pressure under control, I can stop taking the antihypertensives.
On top of that, some doctors mentioned that birth control could be part of that combination, while others insisted it shouldn't be, so I haven't walked away with any clear or intelligent guidance on how to proceed, and frankly, I’m the type of person who would much rather study the facts thoroughly than just swallow a pill without knowing exactly why.

So, I’ve been using Yasmin as a way to manage my PCOS, and my doctor mentioned it’s perfectly fine to take alongside my blood pressure medication, since the PCOS seems to be the underlying culprit—basically, the reason my blood pressure spiked in the first place once all these symptoms started hitting me, like the irregular cycles, sudden weight gain, and the high readings. It actually caught me off guard how both my gynecologist and my primary care physician, and even some medical experts on health portals, all agreed that there shouldn't be any issues combining them. What I’m really wondering about now, though, is whether I could switch to a different kind of treatment for the PCOS, something like Duphaston. I don't mean birth control—even though everyone keeps insisting that's the only way—because I’ve finally found some real momentum lately. Between adjusting my diet, getting consistent with exercise, and sticking to herbal teas like lemon balm, spearmint, and licorice root, everything has stabilized; my period has actually come on time for the last three months, which hasn't happened in two years. I really don't want to mess with hormonal contraceptives right now when they might just do more harm than good, yet I’m fully aware that I still need to be proactive about treating the PCOS itself.

Since I’ve already gone through the full battery of tests—everything from my EKG and thyroid checks to monitoring my hormone levels—the consensus seems to be that my blood pressure issues are just a byproduct of PCOS. On top of that, I was told that I can safely take birth control specifically for PCOS alongside my current treatment, which honestly feels like it flies in the face of everything I’ve been reading online and in various medical guides.

I’ve just been diagnosed with PCOS, and as a direct consequence, my blood pressure has shot up, so I was wondering if any of you have ever used oral contraceptives as part of your treatment plan while also successfully getting your blood pressure back under control?

The flavor was exquisite, the presentation was flawless, and they were simply divine.

We actually went with them for their cakes and desserts last year as well, and everyone was completely blown away, so consider this another glowing recommendation from my side.🙂

Has anyone here dealing with PCOS and high blood pressure ever tried using birth control and actually had a positive experience with it?
Regarding shopping over in Canada, if you're heading into a pharmacy there, would simply presenting our private prescription be enough to get what you need?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I was hoping someone might be able to point me toward a reliable endocrinologist in Chicago, though I wouldn't mind a private specialist if they come highly recommended.

@zizuana- last summer, we ordered a whole spread of cookies and a custom cake from Lido Bakery—actually, they handled the entire catering since we were hosting an outdoor wedding—and honestly, they blew us away.🙂They managed to recreate a cake I’d found online perfectly; it was absolutely delicious, featuring three distinct layers and flavors in a sleek black-and-white design. Anyway, I can't recommend them enough, and everything is super flexible if you need to work out specific details.

Personally, I’ve always preferred their cakes and pies... 😍 😍 😍
Maybe just head over there and grab a sample, then you can decide for yourself.

We actually had them bundled in with our catering package, so hearing that really made my day.😍

Does anyone have any thoughts or perhaps some seasoned reviews regarding the local bakery, Sweet Treats?🙂
