Raymond Anderson4 said:The officiating was a mess again... they gifted us a breakaway goal for Štrlekov, then called a penalty on Dom Duvnjak's drive that simply wasn't there. Meanwhile, they handed Smith2 two penalties that were clearly bogus, plus two suspensions—one for Kopljar and one for Gojun—that shouldn't have happened either... What a disaster.
Immature officiating. And don't even get me started on how inconsistent their disciplinary standards are.
Essentially, if we end up losing by about three or four points here and the Swedes manage to pick up a couple of extra points, are we looking at an early flight home?
Jonathan Barnes5 said:Sure, but they'll end up heading to the dance if the circle closes, because then Sweden would have the win over them and take first place...
Not quite! It's going to look like this: 1. France +1 2. Sweden 0 3. USA -1

The way things look, the French will let the Swede win by a single point just to secure first place and dodge a matchup with Dance, effectively sending us packing.
Exactly. It’s hard to claim there was a one-point margin unless they shook hands on it before tip-off. 🙂 If we had blown it by 5 or 6 points today, we would have been out already.
