I don't know what they call it here in America... or is it the same? I guess.
I was just scrolling through spinning.com earlier... I guess it's one of those sites you stumble upon when you have too much time on your hands. It’s mostly just industry news and stuff about the music business in the States, which can be pretty hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. Maybe it's worth a look if you care about how the big labels in New York or LA are moving, but honestly, most of it feels like background noise to me. Just some random reading I picked up while I was killing time.
Thanks.😍
I mean, I don't think that actually exists in the States, honestly. Not that I've ever heard anything about it, anyway. Maybe I just missed it.
So, since they worked on my hips, knees, and thighs, I was under some kind of local anesthesia—though from what I gathered, it’s more like a weird middle ground between local and general, just this strange state of consciousness. Right after the two-hour surgery, I felt pretty out of it, though nothing really hurt. I had to get up to use the bathroom all night with my boyfriend's help, but by morning, I could manage on my own. I saw the doctor for a checkup that same day and then just headed home. I usually have a pretty low pain tolerance, but honestly, it barely hurt at all, especially since I was taking painkillers. For the first couple of days, it only stung when I was sitting or lying down, but today—ten days later—even that's gone. As for complications, I know things like blood clots can happen with any surgery, but... I guess I'm an optimist!
I have to wear a compression garment every day for about six weeks. If you're asking me if I'd do it all over again, the answer is YES. It wasn't scary or traumatic at all. Regarding work, I took a week off for vacation, though I suppose some people braver than me might be able to head back after just three days! They say cellulite doesn't come back because they actually removed those fat cells through this process... I'd like to believe them...
The doctor told me the final results won't show up for a few months. I can't wait, but I'm already so happy with these new curves and this new butt (not that I'm the hottest person in the world, but I feel beautiful to myself 😍)... and if people are allowed to post photos here, once these bruises fade, I'll post some before and after shots
🙂
Carol Harris64 said:well, just go hit a spin class then
What does that even mean😕 I'm just some small-town girl😍
I don't have an elevator, and I live on the sixth floor, but I used to go out to dance every single weekend and hit those ab classes too... so I guess I’m also prone to gaining weight. Even with all that, I stay around 125-130 lbs because I don't touch sweets, I rarely eat dinner, and I don't really eat huge portions... (man, imagine if I didn't do all that) but then after a while, I just totally lose it and end up devouring an entire tray of breakfast burritos.😁
I mean, I know, but honestly, what am I going to do until summer? I can't really hit the pool because I have to wear this brace, and from what I've heard, the conditions aren't exactly great anyway. Plus, once summer actually rolls around, my schedule is such a mess that I'll just be stuck at home in the evenings... though, I guess I could always try for a night swim.😁
thanks😉
I was mostly thinking about choosing between hitting the gym, doing Pilates, or maybe an aerobics class... all those things you mentioned are easy enough to do whenever I feel like it, but I think I need a set schedule if I actually want to get anything done. It’s like I have to force myself to show up, you know? I know... I can be pretty lazy sometimes
And as for that high-heel dance thing👍

So, I'm supposed to start getting some kind of physical activity going next week, I guess. Does anyone have recommendations on what's actually best for toning things up? I'm trying to fill in those spots that seem to have disappeared lately... also, maybe some diet advice? (Sean Gonzalez95?)
Thanks a bunch😍

One more thing from my side... if there's an actual inflammatory process going on, you don't really want to be doing anything aggressive; you just need antibiotics. So, I guess the first step is just seeing a primary care doctor—just show them what's happening so they can see it clearly. Best, 🙂
I see everyone’s getting all worked up over this whole referral thing... honestly, when you walk into an ER in a place like Chicago, if the lady at the intake desk asks for a referral, she’s usually talking about that initial triage note from the urgent care clinic—you know, the one where they decide where you actually need to go—rather than the red slip your primary doctor writes out. Maybe that’s just what your receptionist was looking for.🤷

I’d fix your diet up... figure out which foods trigger you... obviously go low carb, high protein... morning cardio... some circuit training at the gym, and then we'll see those results..
I guess it feels kind of silly to say anything, though, because even some bodybuilders can't nail their prep before a competition and end up having to go to a doctor to handle the extra weight..
but this way is easier, and I guess I’d never spend money on something like that🤷
Yeah, all that stuff works if you just want to drop 5 or 10 pounds—which is my case—but the tight jeans, the cellulite, and those heavy, swollen legs? They don't go away. A couple of us sisters have this build, and the other one looks terrible after gaining 10 pounds postpartum... if this was my way to avoid that, why wouldn't I? And don't even get me started on circulation issues. Good grief, I wasn't going in there to get a larger chest size or anything.
And I totally agree about how hard it is to find the time, the patience, and the willpower when you're juggling work and college (it's almost like I actually have kids, haha)😁
quietpilot87—ever since I started watching those makeover shows, I really wonder how much of that perfect look those famous people, like actors, owe to a surgeon's knife versus just living healthy?
Exactly!😍
Sean Gonzalez95, honey, what on earth would you be doing beating me up for that much cash while I’m still waiting for this fat to melt away??😁
Hey girls, just had to check in...
So, I took a good look in the mirror today. My ankles are definitely less swollen, though I've got some bruising on my right leg—nothing major, though. I actually started applying some bruise cream and using compresses on myself. You guys aren't going to believe this, but the cellulite is gone. I honestly didn't expect that; I figured with such a large area, even liposuction wouldn't make that much of a difference. Aside from the bruises and the swelling, my legs actually look kind of nice now. The puncture site is... well, maybe a slightly larger dot than what you get after a routine blood draw at CVS. I guess that's why everyone says this is the most effective way to do it.
Megan Patel47... mine promised me two years ago. It was all "of course, darling, let's do it," blah blah blah... then I went ahead and saved up the money myself, called the doctor, went in for the consultation, and basically forced his hand. He didn't fight me too hard, probably because he knows it's becoming a real health issue; my legs had gotten so huge they looked like they were covered in oranges.🤣
And here I was, thinking you guys were actually going to give me the full rundown on what's coming next and how this whole thing is supposed to play out...
As for those shorts—believe it or not—the last time I really wore them was back in high school. Every single thing I own fits me like a tent now, haha. I guess I’m just really hoping there’s at least a grain of truth behind everything they promised.
Carol Parker said:So, are you actually fat or what?
No! I'm about 5'6" and 132 lbs (in the winter). I guess I just inherited all the bad genetic traits, and then, well, my diet definitely didn't help matters. My upper and lower halves look like they belong to two completely different people—total pear shape, with a massive backside and skinny legs. And the cellulite... honestly, if I had any more, it might just start leaking out of me.🤣
Apparently, this is the method everyone’s obsessed with lately because they claim it’s permanent. The idea is that once they suction out the fat, they flush everything with saline solution... probably costs somewhere around $1,500
Heh, well, it’s been six days now, I guess. To be honest, I haven't really looked at myself yet—it’s just now sinking in what I actually did to myself, which feels a little unsettling, maybe.😲 My guy has been helping me get these wraps off, and I’ve got this dull, aching pain whenever I’m sitting or lying down, though it seems fine when I’m walking around. I can see through the compression wrap that there's some bruising near my hip, and he says there are just a few little blue spots elsewhere, so it's probably nothing major, but my legs feel a bit swollen...
Hey everyone,
So, I haven't really hung out in this group before, but I figured you all might be able to help me out with some questions.
Basically, I just had liposuction done on my thighs and knees a few days ago, and I was wondering if anyone here has gone through it? I'm curious about what the recovery process was actually like, how the results turned out... honestly, just tell me whatever you know about it.
😉
