Look, Pit Bull is pretty much the only one actually putting in work with MMA—just Google it and see for yourself...

It’s not just about whether you can find the time to study—you actually have to be smart enough to pass that program!

northernhawk29 said:Where in the States can I pick up one of those neck training harnesses—you know, the ones where you hang weights from them—and what’s the damage to my wallet? Also, if there’s a way to order something a bit more budget-friendly online, I'm all ears. One more thing: are standard neck bridges actually more effective for building mass and strength, or should I just stick to the harness and hanging weights?

I spotted one on eBay for about $27. Think it'll do the job? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Neck-Harness...item338abe5fa7

look, if you're chasing that rock-solid, immovable neck—like, pure brute force style—then yeah, go with the chains... but if you're looking for actual flexibility and want to stay ahead of the game when it comes to preventing neck injuries, then the bridge is definitely the way to go.

I did some digging afterward, and like, 90% of people told me the absolute worst about that gym. But hey, you can't really judge a place until you actually step foot inside, right? So, I’m sticking to my guns and thinking maybe it isn't as bad as everyone says.

Nah, don't listen to him—those guys from the coast are probably just stealing his girls, so he's clearly just salty about it.

I used to train at PitBull ages ago, and even back then, the vibe wasn't exactly top-tier... but look, if all you really care about is the quality of the workout itself, then go for it, I guess... 😉

Betty Patel52 said:I used to train kickboxing about five or six years back—looking to get back into the swing of things now. Does anyone have recommendations for a good club in Miami? Looking for info on pricing and general vibes.

You've got Ameno over by South Beach and then there's Mornar down near the stadium—honestly, those two seem like the best bets out there...🙂
I think the monthly fee is around $67, just give them a quick Google search and see what you think...

My college schedule is absolutely killing me right now, and honestly, I’m just not feeling the vibe of only being able to train two days a week...

If there isn't anything specifically for kickboxing, is there maybe some other martial arts gym out there with a more flexible schedule like that?

Thanks!

Well, most training sessions usually run around 8 PM... honestly, I don't think they have much going on during the day—unless you're looking at the kids' classes for the under-14 crowd...

KBK Mornar

That’s their main site, so you can find pretty much everything you need to know about them right there...

KBK Ameno
Over at Ameno, they do Muay Thai on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 PM... they have kickboxing too, but I haven't checked their specific times... here's their email just in case: kbk.ameno@gmail.com They're located over in the Westside area, on Odeska Ave 14...

KBK Marjan
At Marjan, I think they have Muay Thai on Tuesday and Thursday mornings... if you want the actual specifics, you could try reaching out to the coach, Peter Mijic, at 091/485 2261—assuming he hasn't changed his number since last year...🤷...
They offer kickboxing as well... training takes place at the local gym complex, Hall No. 3 (at least for Muay Thai, not sure about the kickboxing bit)...

You won't find anything like that in Miami, and honestly, from what I can tell, probably not in all of Florida either...

Usually, they just end up leaving you with a busted nose—if they even manage to do that...
Unless someone starts playing "secret ancient nose strikes"... 🤣

Hey, just popping in here—honestly, I was thinking about this earlier while grabbing a coffee down at Starbucks—but I really feel like we need to talk more about the community vibes lately... it’s just been on my mind, you know? Anyway, hope everyone is having an awesome day! ☕️✨ kaže:
Hey, can anyone point me in the right direction for where I can find some Kyokushin training around here? ...

So, tell me—what city are you guys calling home? I’m curious if anyone here actually knows their way around the local karate scene... maybe some folks know where the good dojos are tucked away... 🤷

Steven Wright10 said:Does anyone happen to know what size—weight, hardness, or whatever unit they use in ounces—boxing gloves they actually use for our local K1 and junior kickboxing tournaments? Like, is there a specific standard for the junior level versus the senior division? Or do they just use the same gear for everyone... I'm curious if there's even a difference at all...

So, ounces—that’s how we measure weight, right? And from what I can gather... if my math isn't totally off... the weight for those gloves in the LC, FL, LK, and K1 categories is basically sitting at around 10 ounces... maybe even just under that...
