If they can actually turn some supposedly trash materials into high-quality work, then maybe there's hope... The Family Just kicking him while he's down, and we'll probably end up thinking he's even better than he already is... 😉

aha 👍
I think we're talking past each other here... it's not really about the genre. If I'm reading between the lines of those comments correctly, the issue is more about his track record... basically, the idea that his movies don't really have the legs to be considered "high quality" cinema...
On the topic of Workers in China my buddy Christian Taylor3 was totally tearing into David Fincher... apparently he's started churning out total junk, starting with The Social Network, and then following that up with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo which is supposedly just a remake of a Swedish flick that’s destined to be a massive flop... makes me wonder why you even bother remaking something if the original was garbage to begin with...
I'm not saying Christian Taylor3 is talking nonsense—not at all—and I'm definitely skeptical too. I have huge respect for this director, but looking at his upcoming slate, I'm just not feeling super confident that I'll actually enjoy his future stuff...
..so, can we say Fincher has officially lost it, or is this just healthy skepticism?
Look, I wouldn't say the movie is boring, but let's be real—there are definitely better films out there tackling the exact same themes...
The director actually has a much stronger film with a super similar vibe... I'm talking about Training Day...
..The characters honestly have enough potential to fuel a massive Greek tragedy, but instead, we just get this lukewarm nothingness that falls way short of expectations. The pacing feels sluggish, almost half-assed, like everyone is just struggling to get through their lines....
..Plus, the whole thing is missing that one powerhouse, charismatic lead who could carry the entire movie on his back... Even though you've got Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, and Don Cheadle—who are all incredible actors—they all just end up getting swallowed up by how gray and dull the film is...

That means he didn't just fail the inspection; he barely had enough to even reach the garage. There's no way he could've made it back for an inspection if he was already empty...
It’s pretty obvious they found a loophole. Honestly, who knows how many times now the FIA has failed to penalize the right things while handing out punishments for totally harmless stuff and complete nonsense...
And by the way, the rules are clearly lacking, which basically lets people manipulate them however they feel like...
Michael Schumacher got nailed for the exact same thing—finding a gap in the regulations—so he got punished regardless 😉 While during that same race, Rubens Barrichello didn't get penalized for some minor nonsense at all...
It’s not Lewis Hamilton or McLaren this time, but it’s super likely they’ll end up penalizing someone else soon who actually has legitimate car issues and genuinely can't make it to the pits after qualifying...
Man, when you start getting all defensive over McLaren, it’s honestly painful to read...🙄
..as if....like Vettel and Red Bull are paying your bills or something, so you gotta swear on your life for them...😁
Michael Lee4 said:Bnet actually carries HBO, PBS, and even FOX German... 🤷 What are you even doing...? Seriously...
Jonathan Wood5 said:All those channels are part of the premium package. There’s probably a basic plan out there, just like mine, where you can't watch any of the qualifying sessions at all...
Yeah, I've just got the basic package with about 30 channels... that extra one costs like 30 bucks...$13 Honestly, there's nothing worth watching on here besides some German channels from FOX, HBO, and a few other loser shows I’ll never actually touch...☕
Even those guys wouldn't touch it... unless things got really desperate. 😁
ruggedfox28 said:So, who's actually showing the race?
I don't have access to FOX, Discovery, ABC, or PBS...
Frank Collins85 said:Then you're basically on your own... 😍
Not even for me...😢
stormybadger8 said:Well, guess I'm out too... 😢
I was pretty sure it was gonna happen... 🙂
I honestly can't believe these clowns over at FOX don't have the live broadcast... all they've got is some recorded replay at 10:25 PM. Unbelievable... 🙄
And they’re playing some stupid movie during qualifying... seriously, what a joke...🤦
If they were broadcasting some actual sports or a game, I might get it... but a movie? And a total dud at that... 🙄
There's still hope for us...CBS is broadcasting it... hopefully they don't end up encrypting the feed... 🙄
