Samsung SM 2333 HD review/discussion in Computer Peripherals ·
What are your thoughts on this monitor?

It features VGA, DVI, HDMI, and Scart inputs, built-in speakers, a digital TV tuner, Full HD 1920x1080 resolution, a 23'' screen, and HDCP support... all for just $767.

I have been comparing it to the BENQ E2400HD, which is priced almost identically, but this Samsung seems like a better value to me. The only real difference is that this one includes a TV tuner.

First, install the MPEG-4 codecs before you even touch CamStudio. Once that's done, open the program, go to
options video options, and for heaven's sake, make sure it isn't set to Microsoft Video 1. Switch it to MPEG-4, then hit configure right next to it and set the bitrate to 256. That's it. For audio, just select lamemp3. Done.

Maybe save the insults for the guy who made the CamStudio tutorial instead of taking it out on everyone here trying to help.

shadowlynx102 said:First off, MPEG-4 uses the .avi extension just like Xvid does. There is no such thing as a ".divx" extension.
Secondly, the best tool for this is Auto Gordian Knot.

Now, I’d love to just tell you that you're being an idiot, but I won't—I've been banned too many times to risk it. Both .divx and .avi extensions exist. Honestly, the easiest way to convert .divx to .avi is to simply rename the file. While Auto Gordian Knot is a solid program, I always suggest beginners start with that method first.

I need to install the latest MPEG-4 codec. Where can I actually find a download for this?

Alright, I just gave it a shot and the download is actually working now.

Head over to the External Mirror 2 Stable link here.

And if a security popup blocks you, don't panic. Just look at the top right of your browser, click that yellow bar right under the address bar, and select "download file."

You clearly don't even grasp the concept of shareware. You can use it for as long as you damn well please; it doesn't expire on you like some pathetic trial version. You might choose to pay for the software after using it just to clear your conscience, but if you don't, you can still keep using it just like freeware. It's obvious you're pretty weak when it comes to cracking, so I'm not even going to bother explaining it to you.
btw Dr. Divx is freeware.

And it isn't even shareware.

So what if it's shareware?

When you compress a video, it’s going to end up with a .divx extension
If you're looking to convert that to an .avi, just rename the file. Simply strip off the .divx at the end and type in .avi instead.

Kyle Alvarez61 said:You could also try using a YouTube converter. With that, you can convert the film into a format with higher compression ratios so the file size ends up smaller, you can drop the quality which ultimately results in a smaller file, or you can aim for a lower resolution to achieve the same goal.

All of that can be done with Dr. Divx. I was simply stating which formula should be used to achieve the best possible quality. You could compress that video down to 1 MB if you wanted to, but the quality would be absolutely pathetic.
How to compress video files? in Software ·
To achieve top-tier quality, you should follow this specific formula:

(Movie length in minutes)*8=(Size in MB)

So, regarding that 2.5-minute video of yours, you're better off aiming for a 20 MB file size to ensure the quality remains excellent.

Why is it that for certain forum members, it always shows them as offline even when they clearly aren't? It doesn't even display their last activity or anything like that.

Like I already stated, I need American subtitles, but that site they're pointing to only has translations in Spanish.
The X-Files Subtitles in Software ·
I was at an AMC theater today and caught the first two seasons of The X-Files with American subtitles. The issue is, I can't find any American subtitles anywhere online—it’s just endless versions in Mexican. I actually have the entire series downloaded via torrent, but the language barrier is real. Does anyone here own the original US release and feel like ripping the subtitles to upload them somewhere? I desperately need those specific subtitles.
