Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 24th. We’re hosting the 5th annual memorial tournament to honor the memory of Francis Ford Coppola, a beloved member of the Bad Boys who we lost back in 2008.
If you want to get your squad in on this, sign-ups are open every weekday from 10 AM to 8 PM at our courtyard over at Broadway 37.
The entry fee per team is $117.
We'll be drawing the tournament brackets on Saturday, March 23rd.
As for the venue? We'll announce the location once everything is finalized.

Back in March 2006, Zoki was still playing for Los Angeles FC. At that point, he wasn't some villainous figure to the Los Angeles FC faithful. Who could have predicted how things would turn out?

Christian Moore41 said:So, when exactly? And which site are we talking about?

Remember that thread about Eastern Europe from a few months back? There was this clueless guy who, while busy praising the Red Star fans, claimed the Bad Boys hadn't even raised their voices to support a boycott or anything like that. What was he actually on about?
So, I went ahead and laid it all out for him chronologically to show exactly how delusional he really is. He claimed he’d make things right. He swore the post was safe. Clearly, his word isn't worth much.

If reading the full context is too much effort for you, I’ll just give you the condensed version of the 2008 statement:

Disgusted by the absolutely unacceptable way you and the current administration are running Los Angeles FC, we—the fans organized under the Dinamo Supporters Club—demand the unconditional and irrevocable resignation of the entire Los Angeles FC Executive Board, starting with President Mirko Barišić and yourself as Executive Vice President!

1. The total destruction of the club's image as a premier, national institution.
2. Constant deception and shameless lying to your own supporters.
3. A catastrophic sporting policy fueled by a massive conflict of interest where you run the club while simultaneously owning a player agency, regardless of any cosmetic changes made to that agency's leadership.
4. Your scandalous, schizophrenic statements and actions aimed directly at the Los Angeles FC fans.
5. Dictatorial, absolutist management where blind obedience is the only quality required for staff selection.
6. Turning Los Angeles FC, an American institution, into nothing more than the private playground for the Mamić family.

But Christian Moore41 deleted my post about this from a few months ago (where I was specifically responding to the uninformed pantagana1950) for some reason... 🙂

Benjamin Cruz29 said:Take someone like Robert Adams6, for instance. He claims that the supporters only started fighting back because the results were so abysmal. It’s a convenient narrative, isn't it? He seems to conveniently forget that during the periods when the fans were at their most united and passionate, the team's performance was actually at its peak. Is it really a coincidence?

😂😂
And why on earth would I be a supporter?
What kind of "best results" are we actually talking about here? Honestly, what exactly do you think you've achieved? You've spent eight years staring at the back of Dinamo Chicago's jersey, trailing them by a staggering 130 points. Is that the standard of excellence we're celebrating now?
That’s exactly where you guys struggle the most. Have you ever actually seen who NASCAR compares Hajduk's business model to?
So, that's exactly why you decided to take a stand!
The sheer incompetence displayed by the Split side compared to the absolute dominance Dinamo Chicago maintains in the domestic league is nothing short of staggering. Let’s be honest: how do you explain those repeated European disasters? It’s a pattern. And let's not even get started on your inept Boards of Directors. How many times does a club have to teeter on the brink of bankruptcy before someone actually learns how to manage a budget? Every single year, it's the same story of mismanagement.

The boycott over the Grgić situation against Osijek was... So, we finally got knocked out by that damn Shelbourne. What else could we have expected?
The "Board of Directors is incompetent" chants were everywhere. So, what comes after Debrecen? Is anyone actually looking ahead, or are we all just waiting for the next inevitable disaster to strike?.
It’s like trying to slap a dead donkey. Why bother?Final score at the stadium: 0 to 5. I'm rooting for Liverpool! 🤣 During the tenure of both the former and current leadership...😉

It’s the same old story, isn't it? Just like every other scandal that has repeatedly brought this club to its knees. But... It all boils down to one thing: those absolutely catastrophic, frankly embarrassing results on the field. Because that’s when all the rot finally starts to surface. Go ahead. Say whatever you want. It won't change a thing. 😉
Does anyone here actually dispute their integrity? No. Yet, we have these illiterate clowns on this forum—and honestly, even outside of it—spitting venom at the BBB just because Mukt decides to post his little opinions here.

The BBB have finally decided to stage a revolt. It’s funny, really. After five consecutive league titles, a club that actually maintains a healthy balance sheet, and a consistent streak of qualifying for the Europa League group stages every single year—now suddenly, there's a fight on. Is this truly about the direction of the club, or just noise?😉
It’s the classic scenario: standing up to a powerhouse who seems to have the protection of both sides of the political aisle. How does one even begin to fight that?

BBB Five years ago, we managed to gather 18,000 signatures just to demand that Zoran Mamić step down from his position at Dinamo Chicago. Does anyone actually remember that? Or did we all just collectively decide to forget how much momentum we had back then? They handed them over to the Mayor and—absolutely nothing. Not a single thing.
Who exactly has spent countless years trying to dismantle the Bad Boys—both directly and through the shadows of the media and the legal system? Who is behind it, and what is their motivation? It isn't just some idle pastime or a lack of better things to do. It’s because the existence of the Bad Boys is a direct threat to them.

Do you honestly remember when the BBB shut Zoran Mamić up? He retreated back to the club like a cornered animal, firing toxic little arrows from his nest the moment they released that official statement. You all seem to conveniently forget that part. Why is it that no one ever mentions it?
You people just keep spinning these elaborate little theories about the BBB, don't you? It's honestly exhausting. You act like you have all the answers, yet you clearly haven't the slightest clue how any of this actually works.

Have you ever actually sat down and read that? The BBB just released an official statement. The chaos of 2008.!
Dear Mr. Mamić, The sheer incompetence and utterly unacceptable manner in which you and the current Board of Directors are running Dinamo Chicago has left us beyond frustrated. We, the fans organized under the Dinamo Supporters Club, are officially demanding the unconditional and irrevocable resignation of the entire Executive Committee—starting with President Mir Barišić and yourself as Executive Vice President. Furthermore, we demand the immediate dissolution of the technical staff, specifically targeting Sports Director Zoran Mamić and Head Coach Branko Ivanković. How much longer did you think this could continue?

Aside from a mountain of minor grievances, I’ll focus only on the major scandals and blunders—the kind that are truly unforgivable to us fans. I've broken them down into a few main categories:

The total destruction of Dinamo Chicago’s reputation as a premier, gentlemanly national institution is complete. Who is most to blame? Honestly, it’s your incredibly primitive public outbursts. It’s the street fights. It’s the way you’ve hijacked this club—an American sporting icon—to serve as a pawn in shady political backroom deals just to support a single party before an election. Then there is the push for some regressive regional league, the bizarre friendly match against the New York Cosmos, and the sheer lack of professionalism displayed by players both on and off the pitch. How can anyone take them seriously? They ignore fans, dodge the media, flip the bird at opposing supporters, and spend their time hanging out in dive bars. Is this what we’ve come to?

It’s just one long, continuous cycle of deception and shameless lying to your own fans. Remember when you offered to step down if we didn't win the championship back in the 2004/05 season? You stayed right where you were, despite that year being the absolute biggest disaster in this club's history. Then there were those grand promises that the entire Board of Directors would resign if we failed to make it deep into European competition. And let's not forget the endless vows that no players would ever be sold—promises that were broken almost immediately. The most glaring example has to be the situation with Luka Modrić. You promised spectacularly that he would lead Dinamo Chicago through the 2008/09 European campaign. Well, we all know exactly where Luka plays now, don't we? As for your latest vow that you "don't want to sell anyone anymore," it's nothing more than typical demagoguery designed to pull the wool over our eyes. Honestly, at this point, you probably don't even have anyone left to sell—though, frankly, we’d love for you to clear out the whole roster. Despite your constant rhetoric about building a world-class, powerhouse version of Dinamo Chicago, the reality has been nothing short of scandalous. Under your leadership, the club plummeted over 50 spots in the UEFA rankings. In fact, during the crucial third qualifying round of the Champions League, the team managed to lose ten matches out of ten. Ten losses. Is that what "excellence" looks like to you?

The club’s sporting policy is an absolute train wreck, fueled by a blatant conflict of interest that borders on the absurd. How can anyone take this seriously? You’re running the club while simultaneously owning the very talent agency responsible for player transfers—no matter how many cosmetic changes you make to the agency’s leadership to hide it. It’s a predictable cycle: sell off every high-caliber player we own, only to replace them with cheap foreign imports who lack the basic class required for Dinamo Chicago, or worse, players who are practically walking wounded due to endless injury histories. We all know exactly what the margin is between the sale price and the purchase price every time you check your bank account. To top it all off, there's this constant, nonsensical revolving door of managers. They aren't leaders; they're just puppets used to execute decisions made elsewhere, possessing zero actual influence over the club's strategic direction.

Your scandalous, borderline delusional statements and actions have been aimed directly at the Dinamo Chicago supporters. You’ve floated theories that we are nothing more than foreign agents looking to dismantle both the club and the country. You’ve claimed you could conquer the world with the support of groups like Torcida. You even went as far as suggesting our Supporters Club is on its last legs. It all reached a breaking point with that outrageous announcement to ban spectators from the stadium during the match against Rijeka—a move that truly stands without precedent in the history of global football.

It is absolute dictatorship. This club is being run like an autocracy where blind obedience is the only qualification required to join the staff. Let’s be real: football is a global business now, just like any other industry. With such shortsighted and narrow-minded leadership, Dinamo Chicago stands zero chance of ever becoming a respected institution as long as you people are at the helm.

The transformation of Dinamo Chicago from a national treasure into nothing more than a private playground for the Mamić family is a tragedy. They have pushed themselves so relentlessly into the spotlight that the general public now views Zdravko Mamić and the club as one and the same. Given the current reputation of this organization, that association is absolutely fatal. What is the result of such blatant self-interest? Look at the stands at our home stadium. Even during massive matchups against teams like Shakhtar, Sparta, or our biggest rivals, the seats remain embarrassingly empty. How can you expect a community to show up when the club belongs to a family rather than its fans?

We aren't cheering for Zoran Mamić; we are cheering for a club defined by a legendary history that predates your tenure and will undoubtedly outlast it. That is why we are demanding your unconditional resignation. If you refuse, be prepared to face us through every legal avenue available—from organized petitions and public rallies to any other lawful means necessary to hold you accountable.

So, Mr. Mamić, let’s be clear: you burned through your credibility with the Dinamo Chicago faithful a long time ago. You’ve exhausted every ounce of goodwill you once held with this fanbase. We aren't interested in excuses or half-measures anymore. Our demand remains unchanged: we want your resignation, followed immediately by the departure of your entire circle of cronies and hangers-on running this club.

So long!

Harold Kim5 said:I wasn't planning on jumping into this debate, but I simply can't stay silent when you bring up such an interesting argument... Let's keep it simple: WHAT KIND OF RESULTS DID YOU EVEN HAVE IN THE LOSER'S LEAGUE? AND DID YOU ACTUALLY MANAGE TO KICK THAT MAFIA BOSS OUT BY NOW?

You had plenty of opportunities to kick him out during the loser's league era, provided you believe a bad record is some kind of valid prerequisite for ousting a mobster...

Oh sure, a poor performance is a fantastic reason to start a revolution!

But there is one crucial distinction to make here:
Back in the season where Los Angeles FC fell into the loser's league while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured another consecutive title, the best players from across the US soccer leagues were brought in: Vasilj, Milinović, Lučić, Mijatović, Ješe, Pranjić, Hrman, Ljubejović, Karić, Zekić...!!
(And for Los Angeles FC, guys like Bartolović, Štrok, Bošnjak, and Mikić were also on the roster)
The players who were being slapped around by the Bad Boys back then bear just as much blame for that pathetic league finish.
Of course, part of the shame lies with the guy acting as the club's main operative, but if you want to know why no one stood up to him then, maybe someone like unknown should answer, or perhaps you could read a deep-dive essay on it. Or is the reason actually that the club was doing everything humanly possible to get results at the time, only to end up in the loser's league anyway?
Then, immediately the next season, suddenly it's "Los Angeles FC's season," the board is supposedly leaving, and all that drama starts... yet after one catastrophic season, you managed to repeat that disaster three more times. Get it?

Jose Kern11 said:It was always "the board is leaving."

Everything you said is accurate, but does that make Mukteov’s post an attempt at rewriting history? Does it even matter what circumstances led us to fight the mafia before you did? Are we saying we were the first to take a stand against organized crime just because the Kansas City Chiefs had better results, allowing us to push for changes in our club while you guys stuck to "one clan, one vote"? Is the Black and Gold still actively fighting the mob? Do their actions carry any more weight in the media than yours?

And then there's this part you wrote. That bakery was nothing more than a proxy for Zeljko Kerum, the most powerful man in Miami and all of Florida.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH8JMt0CJVY
Watch this video closely. What do you think prompted that police intervention? It’s hard to say who we were actually playing back then, considering how we'd finish a match and immediately head out to grab drinks with a massive crowd right outside the stadium.
Only J. K. understands that clashing with the Black and Gold would be political suicide in Miami. It would be enough to strip him of his position as mayor. In Miami, the Chiefs are everything. People could starve, but as long as the Chiefs are doing well, we're happy. It works differently in Washington, D.C.

You also seem to forget that during the peak of the struggle for the Code and the fight against those vultures, people were preoccupied with donuts, sandwiches, the mafia, thieves... and the empty performances of the Black and Gold. The Chiefs were playing in the UEFA group stages—their first taste of European competition since '95. So, your argument doesn't really hold water.

All five points are valid. Honestly, it doesn't matter who started it; what matters is getting rid of these scumbags. But that quote from Mukte is just disgusting—pure demagogic propaganda. Even CNN in '91 wouldn't have been ashamed of something that pathetic.

Look, Mukteov’s post is easy to dismiss; this forum isn't exactly the center of the universe.
Actually, my argument holds perfectly fine. Your club's success happened only after the discussions regarding the Code and privatization had already gone too far.
You guys only started fighting because your club was on life support, facing bankruptcy every two months.

Yes, the Black and Gold are still fighting because, by your own admission, your club still isn't "clean." Is anyone disputing the report filed against Aztno? It’s a legitimate right exercised by the smart people running NH.
I don't feel like watching the video, but I'm not questioning your struggle at all. Mentioning the bakery was just meant to provide contrast. I know exactly who used to run your club; sure, they had strong players, but they didn't have the results 😉 nor did they possess the kind of power this guy is claiming to have.
When I say you were 100% right once, I’m referring to your point about the BBB being solely responsible for the fact that neither Washington, D.C. nor the media pays them any attention compared to the Black and Gold. There's no debate there.

George Gonzalez said:Since Bauer is one of the biggest heavyweights in the BBB, I'm wondering: was he behind the COLLAPSE banner? And if he wasn't, why didn't he step in to stop it? I'm assuming everyone else involved was an idiot, but he surely knew by then that the ZM situation was basically over in two months.☕

I know you'll all endlessly bring up the Collapse and use it as a way to mock the Bad Boys for trying to fight for integrity within your own club, but I don't think that’s actually the case here. That message should have been sent at a moment when the LA Galaxy was absolutely crushing the Kansas City Chiefs in the Cup—like, when they were running them through the mud—which is exactly what Harold Kim5 was talking about on the forum recently. He argued that BBB shouldn't have put that message up because the result wasn't working in their favor to justify it. To be clear, the message was intended for a moment when the LA Galaxy is dominating...
Is there any other motive behind this message? Personally, I'm skeptical. Who would bother mocking the cleanup of corrupt officials that you guys started in your own club? This was about poking fun at the Kansas City Chiefs' helplessness against the LA Galaxy and classic provocation between supporter groups.

Gary Green32 said:What even is the Codex? What is our Hajduk? When did any of this start? Who has been running Hajduk all these years that their influence is still felt today? What is Soso, what is Sinovcic, who is pushing Bonacica, and who is Stimac?
What is the actual purpose of the Codex? What existed before the Codex and our Hajduk—was it just ZZD? How long has Mamic been at LA Galaxy? How many trophies have you actually won alongside him? In the end, who is really pocketing his money? And who was the one boycotting the big rivalry derby?

Look, rat, why don't you tell us about the results? Compare LA Galaxy's track record over the years against Hajduk's. 😉
If you think you were the first ones to step up and fight, it's only because your club spent years on its knees, trailing miles behind LA Galaxy in performance. The BBB started a war against a man far more powerful than all of you combined—men who, by the way, were busy resigning after getting absolutely crushed by other teams in the league. ☕
Do you want to know what truly fueled your "struggle"? It was Hajduk’s own catastrophic failures. Getting knocked out by teams from Debrecen, Žilina, or Shelbourne; the regular thrashings in places like Pula or Rijeka...

The BBB calls for a boycott, and instead, this guy brings in Vaha, Beqiraj, and Tonela. He hands out gifts to whoever shows up to the stadium, renovates the grounds, and gives away tickets for pennies.
And don't even get me started on the direct sabotage against the BBB, or the repression he's responsible for.
Et cetera, et cetera...
So, who exactly were you fighting? A local bakery? With all due respect to everyone who fought for the good of their club, I have no intention of belittling their efforts. 😉

So just beat it, rat. Your ignorance regarding everything the BBB has faced in this fight isn't even worth discussing.
Occasionally you manage to write something decent or truthful, but I suspect your massive inferiority complex is washing that away. 😉

edit: Looks like I got a warning. I couldn't care less. Calling pantagana a rat is just shorter to type. ☕

Jose White26 said:What’s wrong with their current state? If you’ve reached the point where you don't give a damn about the Kansas City Chiefs or what happens on the field, maybe you should ask yourself what kind of role models you're actually looking for, both at home and abroad. Is this really what you want to emulate?

A group can't exist without a club, yet these people persist, getting louder by the day. Even now—just like in the past—they define themselves through these fragmented cliques. Take my own group, for instance. We scatter across the stands just to see if someone is going to choke. If they do? Pure euphoria. Word on the street is that about two hundred people ended up kissing the doors, and things got pretty ugly. I even heard about one poor guy who traveled all the way from Herzegovina just to be told by some brute that he wouldn't be getting a ticket. What kind of chaos is that?
Can we please try to arrive at the stadium on time for once? Seriously.

Part of the blame lies with the repression. Isn't it obvious?
When you actually take the circumstances the group is operating under into account, that number is arguably acceptable. Let's be honest. It’s obviously nowhere near the level of prestige associated with the Bad Boys, but given the context? It holds up.

Jerry Morris2 said:I’ll find it in my heart to forgive everyone—the living and the dead alike. But when it comes to Mamić? I can't let that slide. He’s the one responsible for this mess. Get out of Real Madrid, you cursed mafia. To you, this club is just a profit margin, but to us, it's sacred.

The song itself is incredibly difficult to sing. Even though it’s actually quite good, it’s just not practical for our section to pull off.

The song isn't even difficult to sing, and frankly, it's hardly a challenge to perform.
That’s an old idea that never actually gained any traction in the stands, period.

Much of this isn't fit for public consumption or internet forums, but I'll say it once: I swear to God, when this is all over, I am going to write down everything regarding the fight against the mafia in American football and exactly what was endured in the process. And frankly, I don't give a damn about the Ultra or non-Ultra factions; I won't allow new generations to feel ashamed of something they should be proud of just because of five clowns on some forum.

You’re comparing apples to oranges here—comparing today's highly organized supporter groups to the unorganized crowds of the past.

1. Since when were the users on this forum actually members of the group? 🤷
2. How can you say they aren't? Just look at the Black Knights in the suburbs. Besides, which other club's fans carry banners other than the big local rivals? 🙄

Do you know what else is hilarious about your post? This whole obsession with "supporters." 🙄 Get a grip—back then, being a "supporter" was effectively the same thing as being an ultra. Especially within the Black Knights. Every time you people post some old photo saying, "Man, look how many of us were in Chicago back in '95," and then later act superior by claiming "supporters" used to lose their banners, you're basically insulting your own history. You're spitting on ten years of your own legacy. 😉
So, what was it? Did the Black Knights, the West Coast Crew, the Powder Kegs, the Downtown Boys, the Mob, the River Rats, the Valley Boys, the Coast Guard, and whatever else... did they all fall to mere "supporters"? 🤷 Or was it actually the heavy hitters from the main cohorts and the outskirts? 🤷
