It feels like every single news outlet out there is obsessed with asking, "Who actually sparked the BBB incident?" yet you don't see a single soul stepping up to take responsibility or offer an apology for the mess they made. That one individual who posted the whole thing even included a clip from the Euro tournament showing those Russian and Polish fans getting into it, under a title like "Bradford - Celtic brawl football fans (07.08.2013)." I noticed that specific video has been scrubbed from the internet now, but somehow that article about Dynamo is still sitting there perfectly intact. Honestly, what kind of idiot does that?
It’s just pure sensationalism masquerading as "journalism."

It honestly feels like those folks from Anzhia are just trying way too hard to push this narrative, doesn't it?
Every single major news outlet out there jumped on this story immediately, acting as if it were definitive proof of BBB involvement, yet not one of them actually took the time to verify anything before hitting publish.
I can't help but wonder, will any of them actually have the decency to come forward and issue a correction? And who knows, maybe some people even have enough evidence here to look into legal action.
Did UEFA just give the green light to pyrotechnics?

@Patrick Clark21, let’s not bring the old guard into this discussion, and please, don't try to put words in our mouths. As far as I can tell, there isn't a single veteran supporter in this thread anyway. This is just your typical, classic online sports fan debate, isn't it? 😁 Everyone needs to stop stressing over who's on top right now, because honestly, one day it's us, the next day it's you, and eventually, it'll be some other team entirely—that's just how the game works. But of course, rivals are going to take shots at each other; I mean, look at the hundreds of die-hard fans hanging out in the boys' thread just to poke fun at their latest kits.

white sneakers.
I really don't want to step on anyone's toes by meddling in other groups' business, but I honestly don't get why you guys brag about it so much, as if you don't see plenty of white sneakers and hats around here too? You even go as far as coming up with specific songs for them! 😁 But then again, when you actually zoom in on the stands during a game, you can clearly see a massive amount of people wearing caps and white sneakers everywhere. Honestly, it's just a modern trend in fan culture nowadays; whether people like it or not, that's just how things have evolved. It doesn't make you a "bigger" or "better" supporter just because you decided to wear white kicks.
At the end of the day, what truly matters is what the group represents as a whole in the stands, rather than what any single individual happens to be wearing. And if we're being honest, it feels like you guys haven't been showing much of that lately, have you?😍
Edward Hernandez332 said:The whole debate regarding the 98/99 season and those offside calls was actually happening over on the 2008/2009 MLS Season thread, so I really don't feel like dragging it all back up again. I only brought up that specific season because someone asked why Wrigley Field isn't packed to the rafters. The truth is, the stands aren't full because so many fans just walked away from the MLS back then; they simply lost faith in the fairness of the game and the idea that the Cleveland Guardians could actually build a championship contender. When you aren't consistently making runs in Europe, how can anyone expect a sellout crowd at Wrigley Field? There are probably a million other little reasons for it, too, but I think this covers the main point...
It’s not like Wrigley Field holds 30,000 people anyway...
But honestly, 12,000 is practically nothing for a city the size of Cleveland. Just look at Columbus—it's basically a small town, the team isn't exactly elite, yet they still manage to pull in 10,000 people once or twice a season.
It's the same story whenever the national team comes to town, too.
It seems pretty obvious that soccer just isn't the top priority for folks here in Cleveland. It's a similar vibe to NYC, where the interest level is even lower.
Indianapolis just couldn't find their rhythm against Cleveland this season.
Indianapolis - Cleveland 1:0
Cleveland - Indianapolis 1:0
Indianapolis - Cleveland 5:2
Cleveland - Indianapolis 1:1 (that last one right here)
By the time the season wrapped up, Cleveland had managed to pull away with a 16-point lead over Indianapolis...
And when it came down to playing the US national team, we beat them three times out of four, only managing to snatch a single point from them during that nail-biting finish at Yankee Stadium.
If you ask me, Cleveland really has themselves to blame for how this championship turned out, but hey, that’s just the beautiful game, isn't it? I'm not saying there wasn't some shady business going on, or that people weren't pulling strings to favor the US in every possible scenario, but honestly, Cleveland had everything within their grasp heading into that final match, and they just completely choked under the pressure.
I don't think you're entirely correct on that point, but since I really don't want to derail this whole discussion about The Armada, I'll just send you a private message to settle it.
Hey Tornado, come on, let’s be real here—just admit that this season is basically your big comeback to the football scene... I mean, even if the actual play isn't quite there yet and the club feels a bit disorganized, it really does feel like you guys are finally finding your footing again, wouldn't you agree? It would be pretty strange if you weren't right back in the mix immediately.
Just take a look at The Legion and the Ultras... our club hasn't actually achieved anything significant in nine years; Budweiser had one single run in Europe, but they also suffered a relegation to the second division. And yet, somehow, The Legion might be having their strongest season ever despite the lack of results on the pitch, while the Ultras are just doing their usual thing, as always...
As for The Armada, it was great to see them making such a strong showing last week, though it’s a bit of a shame when you look at the actual stats, because the week before that, there weren't even 100 of them in the stands (they didn't even post any photos!). There was a time when The Armada used to really set the tone in the stands even when the club was performing much worse... but I guess a new generation has taken over now.
