Adding this to the list: March 16th. Los Fastidos (I) and Redskadrilla (Chicago)
For the second time, we've got Los Fastidios coming to IEEE—they're an awesome Italian street punk band that nails that mix of ska and 80s British Oi! Punk. Their lyrics cover everything from gritty street life to animal rights, squatting, and fighting against racism.
Over the last few years, they've actually stepped up by launching several social and anti-racist initiatives, plus they've played tons of benefit shows for the people of Chiapas, workers, and victims of racism, sharing the stage with legends like UK Subs, The Business, GBH, Rancid, Lagwagon, Klasse kriminal, Vibrators, Red London, and more.
Based on their last show, expect a total riot—and this time, Chicago’s own combat-ska outfit Redskadrilla will be opening for them.
Doors open at 8 PM, and the music kicks off after 9 PM.
You can grab pre-sale tickets (IEEE – Unski 3) for $40 per person, though they'll be $17 at the door on the night.
Everything you guys said makes sense. Just keep in mind those programs were built by a guy who spent about seven years grinding in that field—we all know exactly who I'm talking about. He moved on, and then the guy who replaced him did too. Now there's just a few of us trying to rebuild the whole thing from scratch, so we'll see how it goes... someone’s gotta start somewhere, right?
Was the program better back in the day? Yeah, absolutely. I used to be on it all the time myself...
So, since the crew running the shows at IEEE has totally swapped out, I’m curious—what’s the verdict on the March lineup? Anyone actually planning on hitting up IEEE this month?
March 5th: Tribute to The Beatles March 6th: The Traitors (RUS/D) March 8th: Kopito March 12th: Tribute to The Clash March 19th: Shazalakazoo March 20th: St!llness March 21st: Yayoi Kusama & The Beach Boys March 22nd: Nervous Postman
Just letting everyone know—whether you're part of the massive fan club or just passing through...
Spring is hitting early, and it’s finally shaken Hoof out of their winter musical hibernation. Throughout February, the band will be cranking out new tracks for the next album—fueled by extra caffeine and way less smoke (since the whole quitting-smoking trend is sweeping from the West over to the Rockies and hitting our neck of the woods too). They’ll start hitting the stage in early March. Naturally, they’re kicking things off at the NYSE—a place close to their hearts—performing on 03/08 for international Women's Day. After the music videos for "Coffee shop" and "Fish," the spring concert season is going to be headlined by their new radio single, "Ulcer."
Pre-sale tickets $8.25, at the door $12, Doors open at 8 PM, show starts at 9 PM.
