Upcoming concerts at IEEE for March

So, since the crew running the shows at IEEE has totally swapped out, I’m curious—what’s the verdict on the March lineup? Anyone actually planning on hitting up IEEE this month?

March 5th: Tribute to The Beatles
March 6th: The Traitors (RUS/D)
March 8th: Kopito
March 12th: Tribute to The Clash
March 19th: Shazalakazoo
March 20th: St!llness
March 21st: Yayoi Kusama & The Beach Boys
March 22nd: Nervous Postman

What a fantastic urban lineup they've put together here. Truly top-tier music for Americans. Aside from the Postman, these guys are absolute international legends. 🙏

I’m not going to get into everyone's personal taste, but if I were looking for a good time right now, I’d probably jump on a tribute set for The Clash, Stillness, or Nervous... but damn it all, why isn't a single gig scheduled for the weekend? It's just plain stupid 🙂

We think this lineup is garbage. And we won't be showing up. Just look back at how the programming used to be at the IEEE when it was handled by people who actually cared about the organization and had good taste. People who actually knew how to do their jobs as concert promoters.

The man hit the nail right on the head—honestly, he said it all. 🙏

Everything you guys said makes sense. Just keep in mind those programs were built by a guy who spent about seven years grinding in that field—we all know exactly who I'm talking about.
He moved on, and then the guy who replaced him did too. Now there's just a few of us trying to rebuild the whole thing from scratch, so we'll see how it goes... someone’s gotta start somewhere, right?

Exactly. Just tune out the haters who spend all their time whining about the good old days and actually get moving on booking some shows. So what if the old crowd stays home? It doesn't mean a thing. You’ll learn the ropes by doing it, and hopefully, you’ll figure out how to level up the lineup soon enough. Building those industry connections and getting the right bands on stage doesn't happen overnight, but if you've got the drive and at least a little bit of funding behind you, you'll pick it up... You've already got a massive head start since the IEEE isn't some unknown basement venue; plenty of people are dying to play there anyway.

Now someone else—a third or fourth person—is going to step up, and eventually, someone will figure out their own way of doing things. Besides, the IEEE has always been a breeding ground for new talent and fresh ideas...

I’ll just correct one little thing Jerry Patel6 said, though. I didn't walk away; it was actually the people who had a totally different vision for the club who asked me to leave.😉

They basically chased off anyone coming "after me"... and man, you know exactly how that works...

Now this is a solid band... pure talent. It's not just some manufactured junk like 98% of what's out there now. 👍

It's pretty rare to see something like this posted on IEEE.. hopefully enough people show up..

As for everything else.. it is what it is. 🙄

As for the rest of the lineup, I’d honestly prefer the old organizers. Though, I suppose it’s becoming quite common lately to see all these tribute acts being pushed

Feeling a bit on edge

Seeing The Beatles and Sam perform right before Nervous will definitely be the highlight of March—easily the best concert of the month.

Seriously, what kind of nonsense is it that you aren't allowed to just walk in and out while a concert is actually going on?
