But that’s just the type of person who wouldn't order a cheeseburger.

I'd just get out of there... 🙂

All that nonsense fits perfectly with his carefully branded role as the guardian of "traditional" values.
Dugin is thriving.

That's a diagnosis right there. Harsh.

A twilight of the mind.

Besides... why does he even care about the West? Is he afraid that despite all that supposed "corruption and decadence," it's still more attractive than his regime?

Terry Green3 said:If the Russians don't go for full mobilization, they won't even be able to call them "mother" and "father" anymore; it'll just be "parent one" and "parent two." Meanwhile, kids will be switching genders in preschool and all that nonsense. 🤦>

You're joking, but I actually work for someone who makes these exact same accusations against the decadent West.🕺

So, the US says Abrams and all those other Western tanks are officially being considered right now.
Honestly, I feel like we already know how these public "discussions" about specific military hardware usually end up playing out...

Public discussions happen once a possibility becomes a done deal or implementation has already started.

A new set of threats is coming soon.

Disturbing.

Italian news just reported that 10,000 people have already volunteered, yet the protests aren't letting up. Anyone caught by the police during these demonstrations is being forcibly conscripted...

Meanwhile, Lavrov is rambling on about how this is an intervention against the fascist-Nazi regime in Kyiv that the West is backing.

China is pushing for a diplomatic solution, insisting that humanitarian organizations must be granted safe access to help the population and that exports of Ukrainian and Russian grain must be guaranteed.

I mean, surely someone is going to ask about those high-profile trials they announced, or what happened to those "Nazis" being held captive?

The Russians released 205 Ukrainians and 10 foreigners, which included an American guy we know.
And in exchange, they only got back 55 people plus Putin's godson.
Honestly, it's better this way than having them rot away in Russian prison cells.
Almost all the big names from Azovstal are free now, but there are still at least 2,000 more out there.

I wonder how the Mad King plans on spinning this to the Russian public.
First he announces a "special military operation" to "denazify Ukraine," calls for trials and death sentences for the Azov soldiers, and threatens all sorts of barbaric atrocities... then suddenly, he's sending them off to Turkey for a vacation.

It looks like his... The little oligarch... More important than the sacred mission you set for yourself... ☕

By the way, word is already getting around... The "referendum" results... 🕺

Phew.
You have no idea how right you are. The New York Times, which basically acts as the official mouthpiece for the Five Star Movement, is a breeding ground for these kinds of comments—anti-NATO and, to put it mildly, sympathetic toward Russia. One of the founders actually quit the paper recently because he couldn't stomach the editorial direction, especially after they refused to publish his weekly column because it didn't fit the paper's general tone.
And the comment sections under those articles? Absolute bottom of the barrel. Compared to them, the ones on Index are a walk in the park.

analogbear70 said:The West's response here is to flood Ukraine with weapons, whereas our approach was an embargo and talks. Who was sending us aid packages? Nobody. I'll say it plainly: the West (meaning the USA and the UK) genuinely seems focused on bleeding Russia dry without giving a damn about what happens to Ukraine in the process. Russia is the aggressor, which makes them dangerous if they're strong, but even more unpredictable if they're weak. That's a dynamic we need to keep in mind.

Are you Italian?
I see this kind of nonsense all over their news sites.
Things like, "we must stop sending weapons to end the war," or "NATO is exploiting Ukraine." According to them, the solution is for Ukraine to just stop defending itself and everything will be fine.

You can only negotiate with someone who actually wants to talk. I don't know how that isn't obvious.

Does anyone know which version of the speech was supposed to go live last night versus what we're actually seeing now?

BTW, wasn't this supposed to feature Shoigu?

Bryan Jones82 said:Who knows what happened with Putin's speech being pulled? People are saying it wasn't supposed to be live at all—just a pre-recorded TV address—and then suddenly, nothing. Even RT wiped the announcement from their feed.

He probably realized that Zelenskyy is addressing the UN tomorrow, so he couldn't afford to be competing for attention today.
Logistics are stalling.

That’s kind of like a rapist claiming they didn't actually want to do it or pick that moment. I mean, geez, the lipstick was just too bright, the outfit was too cute... Your Honor, she really wanted it!

And this guy is supposed to be their big intellectual...

It’s just like some crazy ex who can't handle being dumped, and the second his "ex" goes out for a drink with someone else, he feels entitled to kill the god inside her just to show her the right way to live.
Pathetic.

I mean, what did those poor animals ever do to anyone? 😢

On another note, I read somewhere that Americans are sending some kind of long-range missiles. But Russ is suddenly up in arms about it, claiming it's crossing a red line...
Do you guys think that actually intimidated the Americans?

Yeah, I'm with you on that one.
I live in California, where the goat is on our state seal, and seeing it paired with Kadyrov just feels wrong. 🕺

As for that "red line"... wasn't that already crossed when they sent the HIMARS?

I haven't been able to find any confirmation elsewhere, so please take this with a grain of salt.
