What kind of DVD is it? Where did you pick it up? I’m also stressing about what to do once winter hits. Dealing with the cold isn't too bad—you warm up after about 10 minutes of brisk walking—but it sucks how early it gets dark... Right now, I'm fine with power walking; getting a good sweat makes me feel like I'm actually getting a better workout 🤣
Well... Regarding that whole "hit them where it hurts" strategy... I’m not saying it was some groundbreaking initiative. It started with offering a handful of films, but the overhead was massive and the turnout was practically non-existent... So, just be honest here... 🤷
Another rumor I picked up—from my cousin over in France—is about downloading, and it's coming out of there. See, in France, it's strictly illegal to download or stream movies and music without paying royalties. However, that doesn't apply to content that hasn't found a distributor and isn't legally available in France. If you're downloading, say, "Spider-Man," you risk getting slammed if you get caught. But if it's some indie or underground work that hasn't been distributed yet (meaning you can't buy or rent it), you can download it all you want and show it off at, say, local youth clubs or something.
The films on the bus—maybe the copyrights were actually paid for. Once you pay for a specific film, you can do whatever you want with it. Though, honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they were just borrowed DVDs from a video rental store.😁
My boyfriend used to screen films for his university. They’d pay distributors roughly $6667 for the licensing rights (for a set of 4), but they don't actually send you an original DVD. Instead, you get a burned copy, and you have to manually download the subtitles from the distributor's website yourself after the fact. That was how it worked late last year, though I'm not sure if anything has changed since then...
Yeah, it’s heavy. But it’s beautiful. I only watched it once, a few years back, but that was enough for me. I still can't get that one scene out of my head—where Merrick tells the doctor he feels better than he ever has, simply because the people he looks up to are finally accepting him. Kids really should watch this movie... maybe they'd grow up being a little more tolerant.

Are you talking about "Irreversible"? That scene where Monica Bellucci gets assaulted made me lose all respect for men...😢 It's just too brutal. And that part where Vincent Cassel goes absolutely feral and crushes someone's head with a fire extinguisher is pretty raw, too... I felt sick for an entire week after watching that movie...

It's available over the counter. But you really should check in with your doctor first. Either iron or a magnesium + B complex combo (that worked wonders for me)
If this is being driven by stress, you might want to try Spirulina capsules too. It boosts immunity, helps balance digestion, and generally helps when you're feeling totally drained. You can grab those over the counter as well.
I went in to watch House of 1000 Corpses expecting who knows what, but honestly? Total garbage... I seriously doubt I'll be giving this one another shot. I really expected a bit more from Rob Zombie...
