When did rock 'n' roll die?
in Music ·
rock n roll isn't dead. Bands like The White Stripes, The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, and The Hives, for instance, are definitely keeping the flame alive, if you ask me.
Just because Iggy sang that song doesn't mean it has to be such a huge deal. He's done plenty of even sillier stuff throughout his career.
Commercial success isn't necessarily a bad thing either. You have artists who sell a ton of albums but still manage to sound great and fresh. I guess Red Hot Chili Peppers and R.E.M. are pretty solid examples of that.
