Jack Hayes said:Take a look at the Page selection under the Page Setup menu. There are four different options in that dropdown, and from what I can see in your screenshot, you've got Mirror margins selected... try switching it back to Normal.

Thanks. 🙂
I just ran into this incredibly annoying headache—I'm trying to set my margins, right? But I have to set the right margin to exactly 8mm just so the edge of this border frame actually shows up properly. The second I hit "page break," everything goes sideways... the spacing just flips. The left side is supposed to be 20mm (matching the first page), but instead, the right side jumps to 20mm on the second page. And get this—every time I try to fix the Page Setup on the second page, it fixes that one but then completely messes up the first page again. Just a total loop of frustration...

1. Set your document margins about 0.4 inches higher than where you actually want that border to sit. Why 0.4 inches? Just because it makes the math easier—you can go smaller if you want less breathing room between the text and the edge. Just get the concept down. In your case, try setting the top/bottom margins to 0.6 inches and the left one to 1.2 inches.
2. On your screen, go to Page Setup, pick Layout, then Borders, select Border, click Options , set all the internal margins to 28 pt (which is roughly 0.4 inches), and choose Measure from: Text.
Hopefully, that gets you moving... 🙂

It worked, thanks! Now I just need to figure out tables and I'm golden. 🙂
Alright, I'll give it a shot tomorrow once I actually have some breathing room...
I'm trying to set up a border in Word, but I'm hitting a total brick wall here—it's driving me crazy. I need it to be 5 mm from all sides, except for the left side where I need a 20 mm gap... plus, I have to fit a header and some technical specs inside the frame. I tried messing around with Page Borders, but that just isn't working out at all. Using a table gets me close, but only if I draw it manually, which is nowhere near precise enough for what I'm doing. Does anyone actually have a clue how to pull this off properly?

Alright, I stumbled upon this:

Should I pull the trigger on this?

One more thing 😁—any suggestions for a decent webcam that won't break the bank, maybe under 100-$50

I'm pretty sure Vista and Windows 7 should be able to handle the full 4GB without breaking a sweat, but since I'm still stuck on Windows XP myself... well, that's really all I can tell you for certain...

So, I was running on 2GB of RAM—ordered another 2GB about a week ago—but Windows XP is only recognizing 3.12GB total. Which means I’ve really only gained about 1GB over what I had before... not exactly the massive jump I was hoping for. Still, I can definitely feel a difference. Opening folders and stuff feels slightly snappier, which isn't a huge deal, but I tend to leave my PC running overnight... and usually, when I sit back down in the morning, everything is painfully sluggish. Now, with that extra 1GB, it's... well, it's a lot less sluggish. It’s not like it's lightning fast right after a cold boot, but at least I’m not waiting two or three minutes just to get Adobe up and running—it's down to about a minute now :P. Since I can notice the difference between 2GB and 3GB, I'm pretty sure you'll see a clear jump once you go from 1GB to 4GB.

Yeah, my computer can be a total drag sometimes—but hey, maybe adding some new RAM will finally stop it from crawling... hopefully...
I've got Windows 7... so that should hopefully work... maybe. 😁

Great... I've been scouring the web and there are tons of options out there—so I'll have to see which one actually makes sense for me—but thanks anyway for all the advice.
Anyway, once I finally slap 4 GB of RAM in here, am I actually going to feel a difference in speed? Like, how's the machine actually gonna behave? 😁

Yeah, I get it—you’ve gotta watch your step and be careful which lane you pick... but I think I'll just sit tight and wait to see what anyone else has to say first.

I'm looking to pick up some new RAM—thinking 4GB—since I'm currently stuck with just 1GB on my machine.
I'm wondering how the whole buying process works... are there specific requirements I need to worry about? I'd hate to drop money on a stick of RAM only to find out it won't even work in my rig. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some solid recommendations on what to grab, I'd really appreciate it.
Wrist injury in Health ·
So, here’s the deal... a buddy of mine took a nasty fall on his hand, and ever since, his wrist has been completely swollen up. He’s complaining about pain whenever he tries to lift anything even slightly heavy—it feels like some kind of tendon is being yanked tight. I told him he needs to go see a doctor, but he won't listen. He just keeps insisting it’s nothing and that it’ll clear up on its own... except this has been dragging on for two or three weeks now.
Do you think this is actually going to resolve itself, or is he eventually going to have to bite the bullet and head to a clinic?

Thanks!
Leg hair concerns in Health ·
I’ve got a bit of a situation—I'm 14, and I don't really have any hair on my legs. Not that I've ever shaved or even thought about trying... I have these tiny little white hairs, but they're so faint you can barely see them. My friends at school won't stop messing with me, though—they actually think I wax my legs or something. There *is* hair there, it just isn't thick enough to notice...

Thanks a ton—quick question though, am I looking at any serious fallout once they finally get this cast off?

Just read that myself...
and I’ve gotta say, my stomach is doing a bit of a flip wondering what that actually implies for us all.
Wrist injury in Health ·
So, I was out playing soccer with some friends yesterday, right? I went up for a header—lost my footing mid-air, completely lost control—and slammed my wrist straight onto the concrete. Once I saw the bone actually popping out of place, my buddies and I scrambled to get to the ER. They took some X-rays, and man, the pain was just unreal... absolute agony. As soon as the surgeons saw the damage, they popped the joint back where it belongs. Now that I’m stuck in this cast, the throbbing won't quit, and I honestly have no clue when this is going to let up. Any advice on how to dull the ache, or am I just stuck waiting for it to pass on its own? 😳😳😳
Western Union in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Using Western Union to send and receive cash

I need to send some money to my cousin over in Switzerland—he’s picking something up for me. Here's the catch: we're both minors, and I really don't want my parents finding out I'm sending cash for... well, let's just call them "digital items" for an online game. Can a minor actually send money through Western Union? And can they pick it up on their end? I need someone to walk me through the whole process... what do I actually have to do... and is there any actual guarantee that the money won't just vanish into thin air?

Only chime in if you actually know how this works. Skip the mindless commentary...
So, I was just scrolling through the USPS website and saw that you can actually send money via insured mail... is that some kind of extra fee they tack on later, or how does that even work? To be totally honest with you guys, I don't even have a clue how you're supposed to send an insured package in the first place
So, is there actually any other way out of this...
I honestly don't get why people working at the post office—or wherever else you drop off mail—feel entitled to just snatch cash right out of an envelope. I've got a cousin living in Switzerland and I want to send him some money so he can pick something up for me, but I’m terrified those bastards are just going to lift the cash before it even gets processed. He actually tried sending money back to me once; the envelope arrived perfectly fine, except there was absolutely zero cash inside... It's infuriating. Does anyone know a better way to send money without dealing with these thieves?
