Then they called me back later just to tell me I sounded fine—basically saying they didn't think I was being critical.

Oh, you sound fine, do you? 🙏 Like some high-tech Korean smartphone! A total diagnostic tool in one device, right?

So, we're looking at a brand-new, unknown viral illness that could potentially trigger massive respiratory issues, yet this patient didn't even get a stethoscope check because, hey, they "sounded fine" 🤣.
As long as everything looks good on paper, right? ☕.

Just wait, I'm sure Paul Martinez73 will jump in now to explain exactly how this is supposed to work
. These breaking news reports about every single death are just a snapshot of the reality we're living in...

Paul Martinez73 said:So we need 20,000 active cases before anything makes sense? This "study" is nonsense and the article is even worse.

Maybe it's actually because of the restrictions that the numbers stay low in the first place?

It’s always a pleasure seeing how you immediately jump to defend every single mistake the administration makes.

I'll see you in twelve months when we find ourselves right back at this same peak, only this time it'll be the unemployment numbers...

We’re certainly in elite company when it comes to being at the top of this list.
Mexico, Syria, and America.

Peter Thompson4 said:To me, AC just feels like a total Blade Runner rip-off, like it's lagging thirty years behind because Blade Runner itself was basically the blueprint for all our modern cyberpunk fears.
I watched a little bit, and yeah, it’s gorgeous on a 4K TV, but honestly, that’s about it—it lacked enough substance to keep me hooked.

Exactly. It's nothing more than a visual feast with absolutely zero substance behind it.

I tend to skip over Altered Carbon quite often, but once I finally wrap up my run through the Mexican crime sagas—specifically after finishing Narcos and moving on to Chapa—and get through Freud, I’ll probably dive back into it just to have something to watch...

The English game is actually pretty solid. Sure, some of the football scenes feel a little ridiculous, but the overall vibe is great—plus, you get to see a few good beards along the way... ☕

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that *Altered Carbon* is a visual masterpiece—it’s absolutely stunning to look at—but when it comes to the actual substance? The plot is incredibly thin. It’s all style and no soul...
I really dig the premise of the book and the world they built, but I can't say the series actually did it justice...

People are saying Freud is a total disaster, though I haven't even bothered to sit down and check out the trailer yet...

Trump is the greatest

I’m finally sitting down to watch Mindhunter on Netflix. I’ve been putting this off for years...

Welcome to a totalitarian regime being bolstered by your neighbors, all because of a single death since this infamous virus appeared in our country.
Get ready for ten more years of crisis and political theater—a cycle of endless excuses and fresh impositions.
Ten years of misery, all triggered by ten people on ventilators.

Speed cameras everywhere on the roads.
Passes required just to move around.

Through all of this, what baffles me most are the people here whom I actually thought possessed some level of common sense and critical thinking skills.
The people who blindly support every single one of these measures, calling for even more draconian restrictions and absurd $30,000 fines just for moving without a permit.
In a country where those you unthinkingly defend are letting people infected with this new plague pump gas at an ExxonMobil station...

Let’s just sit back and wait for the ruling party's apologists to show up and try to defend this line of reasoning too

This really gets to the heart of the matter
A crisis is exactly what the state needs if it ever wants to feel useful to its citizens again...

Twenty days is my absolute limit
Just resting my head against those breasts and talking about how carefree life can be with the little girl who could be my daughter...
And all of that for just $23

The shutdown of barbershops is honestly the biggest blow to my entire lifestyle
I don't know how the Boss is going to manage; he’s got a routine where he hits the barber once a day

Paul Sanders5 said:I honestly feel more bad for every single hairstylist out there actually grinding for a living, instead of those endless hordes of losers in government, county, or city jackets working at some useless bureau dedicated to mining ore and wasting everyone's damn time.

I actually miss that hairdresser too...
Tonight, I'm just going to let my wife take charge of my haircut.
Thank God I won't have to show my face in public for weeks after this...

Well, they certainly aren't going to cut their own funding, that's for sure.
They'll probably just slap us with some new emergency tax; it's not like we haven't seen them do that before when everyone else was struggling to stay afloat...

Matthew Young35 said:But what about those who aren't in that 20 to 30 age bracket?
WFT?

What on earth does that have to do with the discussion Paul Martinez73 and I are having regarding this British guy who is only 21 years old?
My point is that he's being taken out of context to try and scare people into thinking this is dangerous for younger folks too.
I don't know how else to draw this out for you... I'm not much of an artist...

Paul Martinez73 said:Eh, they probably would have died from Beroš or just being overweight anyway.
Take it easy, Amanda, in the beginning, every death was considered an exception, people are always looking for excuses, and the virus has only just started its run. More than half of it is still out there circulating, let's see where this all leads...

It honestly feels to me like everyone is just desperate to find proof that this thing is dangerous.
As of right now, only one person in America has died from this disease—the same disease that has already cost quite a few of my friends their jobs.
And let's not forget that some people passed away simply because they couldn't get proper medical care, which is something I've mentioned before.

The mortality rate for people in the 20-30 age bracket is about 0.2 percent. Of course, you're going to run into someone here and there who falls victim to it, like that Spanish man with leukemia...

So, what’s our move now? It doesn't matter if it's just the seniors over 80 dying... apparently, it's starting to hit the younger crowd too. Looks like only VRM16 might save us, since they haven't proven kids are dying yet...

I haven't heard anything about exceptions that prove the rule.
