Money Heist is alright; the first season was actually great, but everything after that just gets worse and way too predictable. I'm mostly sticking to Fargo and Peaky Blinders... Ozark's first season wasn't bad either ☕
Actually, Ozark just keeps getting better through seasons two and three. Season three is absolutely brutal.
And Joe Exotic is pretty much the whole show. I'm actually gearing up to give it another watch... 🎉
Thanks Paul Martinez73, but I am certainly not celebrating Easter with some guy who acts like he's his own father...
Happy Maundy Thursday to you and Vince. I know how much this day means to you and how much you value these traditions. A little bunny popped up and said something kind to me, so I figured I'd pass it along. Since I'm feeling the good vibes today, I wanted to share some of that joy and wish you a very happy Maundy Thursday!
The United States has reported yet another coronavirus casualty, a 38-year-old individual identified as B. K., who was otherwise a young person with no underlying health conditions. According to reliable sources within the B. K. Headquarters, he followed his usual Wednesday routine of heading out to those illegal bear fights over in Sesvete to face off against the reigning champ, Brunda. Brunda actually lost the first three rounds simply because he consumed a liter less of moonshine than B. K. did. However, during the final round, once Brunda B. K. managed to rip off both of his arms and one leg, B. K. started feeling a slight weakness and a tingling sensation in his throat, after which he passed away. He stands as the latest victim of this virus that the Headquarters warned us about. It isn't just the elderly with chronic illnesses dying; as we are seeing, even young athletes are being taken down. This just goes to show once again that the measures intended to wreck the economy and enforce total lockdowns were absolutely necessary and highly effective in our fight against this nasty little cold...
I mean, calling him three times was a joke; she really should have gone at it ninety-three times Hopefully, things go better after what the folks at Villa told her
It’s a long-standing tradition during these religious processions that the solemn Mass and the procession itself are followed by a lively local fair—what we often call the town festival or the "county fair."
I certainly hope they don't leave out the fun, community part of the festivities...

That is to say, would they really be willing to gamble everything, despite the fundamental lack of understanding regarding the virus and its actual impact, based solely on flawed and incomplete statistics?
It’s remarkably easy to play the provocateur when you aren't the one left holding the bag when things go wrong.
Now, nobody is disputing that some level of measures, guidelines, and restrictions was necessary. What truly bothers me, and what I see as a genuine threat to our society as a whole, is the sheer amount of propaganda and the blind icon worship surrounding this task force.
It should be obvious even to you that we are dealing with people who only communicate under strictly controlled conditions. Even then, they resort to threats, warning they'll remember who cooperated and who didn't during the crisis, intimidating advertisers, and trying to outlaw humor. This is a task force that no legitimate news outlet dares to question, criticize, or even show curiosity toward. It is an entity fueled by well-funded media propaganda, all orchestrated behind closed doors in secret meetings with the President...
Does it not strike you as insane that, aside from the occasional update on Corona, the media only sporadically breaks coverage on anything else—unless, heaven forbid, it involves boosting a political party's ratings? To me, that is dangerous. It's dangerous because it looks like a paid pre-election campaign, funded by money that will leave every single one of us buried in debt...
Paul Martinez73 said:What kind of "federal oversight" are we talking about here? Who actually works in that facility? Irresponsible people, that's who. It wasn't the government that brought the Virus into the home; it was some individual who thought they were invincible, walked right in, and infected the elderly.
1. Well, considering China was the only ones who knew anything about the Virus before two months ago, if you had closed the borders back then like you suggested, you would've had the info before anyone else.
2. And who would sell the groceries? Who would pack them or stock the shelves? The military too? Or what? Military DoorDash? Would soldiers be zipping around on bikes delivering food?
3. Regularly tested? So you show up for your shift, get tested, wait for the results, and *then* start working? Is that your master plan? Because you could be negative today and positive tomorrow.
4. No restrictions, yeah, sounds great.
5. And teachers aren't old? They don't have chronic issues? Should they be tested every single day too? Before every lecture or what?
I’m reading this and I honestly can't tell if I should laugh or just stare in disbelief. I have to weigh in here; you are being an absolute idiot. Are you suggesting the government bears zero responsibility for the institutions under its direct supervision? That it's strictly personal liability? It doesn't matter if the director is a political appointee from the ruling party who's just checking boxes to stay in favor...
I read a lot of nonsense on this forum, but I haven't seen anyone spew such blatant partisan trash in a long time. It’s clear your brain has been completely washed, much like everyone else who looks at Alemka and Beros as some kind of national heroes. It's nothing more than orchestrated theater for the suburban middle class, cooked up during some backroom meeting with Plenki to serve a pre-election campaign. The ratings will be through the roof... As long as the mindless masses who swallow every bit of propaganda served to them remain the majority, there will be no reset in this country. Not even a glimmer of one. People like you deserve every single Mommy, Bandic, and Pripuz out there. Climbers and sycophants. Disgusting. And don't you worry, the media will be handsomely rewarded from that $30 billion aid package. At least, that's what my sources are telling me.
In the US, it seems like roughly 80 percent of the fatalities involve people aged 80 and up with chronic health issues. My point is that these individuals are vulnerable to even a common cold; they could succumb to just about any infection... The main goal here is to spread panic by claiming some new virus has arrived to decimate the population, driving everyone to hide away in their suburban homes.
The Coronavirus is just one of many viruses within the Influenza group, characterized by spontaneous mutations and seasonal surges during the winter months. The syndrome caused by this group of viruses manifests as upper and lower respiratory tract issues—ranging from rhinitis, pharyngitis, and laryngitis to bronchitis and pneumonia.
Essentially, this squad of viruses has been visiting the human race for about 150 years, showing up every single year. We know the proportional share of specific virus types; for instance, the contribution of Corona to overall flu syndromes typically sits between 7% and 15%. It isn't fundamentally different from other influenza viruses; it simply targets the throat, pharynx, and bronchi because it doesn't thrive in nasal mucus. Complications from the flu aren't due to some inherent "malice" in the virus itself, but rather the poor immunological status of the infected individual—things like chronic debilitating diseases, cancer, chemotherapy treatments, various medications, or diabetes. That is precisely why the mortality rate is so high among the elderly. There are no inherently "evil" viruses; there are only compromised immune systems that cannot mount a proper response to kill the pathogen. This is why we see a spike in deaths among the elderly and the chronically ill during the transition from winter to spring.
However, this year, we rebranded Corona as SARS COVID-19 specifically to turn something familiar into something unknown. People fear the unknown, and that’s how you sow panic. If this had simply been called the flu, people wouldn't be terrified, and everything would proceed just as it has in previous years. If you factor in this intense COVID strain, the mortality rate from the flu this year is right in line with all previous years. The mortality linked to COVID stays at about 1 percent of those hospitalized. When the dust settles this year, the total mortality will likely hover around one per thousand. But when you sit through two press conferences every single day, hearing them repeat that "1,100 people died today, and now it's 14 more," you are manufacturing fear and injecting it directly into the public consciousness.
Paul Martinez73, I know you're absolutely terrified of a little flu; go ahead and call me narrow-minded now just because you happen to think differently...
Male, 35, employed, financially stable, looking for a reliable friend for occasional walks, playing ball, and just hanging out. I’m offering a secure friendship and absolutely nothing more than that. You can count on me; you're in good hands. Just chill, play some ball, and be a friend.
It isn’t exactly "obvious" when an article uses its headline and overall tone to try and settle a score using specific mortality rates. Both the title and those graphics showing spikes in one particular city are clearly designed to drive home that exact point. We can all agree that the most amateurish part of this whole piece is how people are trying to draw massive, sweeping conclusions from such limited data. But for someone just scrolling through the news—which is what most people on these sites do—this looks like a total catastrophe. In reality, every single media outlet has been acting like the world is ending over the last month; honestly, they are a primary reason why everyone is so unnecessarily terrified.
Be careful, wash your hands, and keep your distance. But at the same time, don't lose your mind, don't go out and hoard toilet paper and flour, and stop obsessing over every little thing. I wonder why Rudan and Djikic aren't out there spreading panic like Capak and Bozinovic. The panic is always manufactured by those who stand to gain from it. The media and the politicians.
I’ve been reading up on this, and you know exactly why it’s flat-out bad rather than just mediocre. The problem is that they’re cherry-picking spikes where mortality rates peaked and trying to paint a broad, sweeping picture based on isolated incidents. It’s fundamentally flawed logic. There is a much more relevant study regarding mortality rates conducted in China using completed cases, which was actually presented right here about ten pages ago...
