Same goes for any worker who gets laid off because some billionaire CEO decided to loot the company coffers, right? Hero!

Or that brilliant kid who can't even get into college because his old man isn't loaded enough to pull strings with the dean... pure hero stuff!

And let's not forget the person with a disability who's stuck inside their apartment building because some entitled "war hero" decided to park his Ford right in the middle of the handicap ramp... hero!

I was lucky enough to be hanging out in Washington, D.C. right when Janica was skiing, and man, let me just say... massive respect for the grit, the guts, and honestly, that insane skill she showed by skiing without a pole or even a glove. But look, I want to be fair here. I don't want to go calling her my hero. To me, she’s just an amazing American woman who sets a hell of an example for the rest of us. See, over the last century here in America, we've handed out the title of "hero" way too freely to all sorts of people... it kind of cheapened the word. It either becomes a label for people living off everyone else's hard work—you know, like those "war heroes from World War II" you hear about constantly—or it's used for the types of people who end up making the whole country look bad and feel disconnected from the rest of the civilized world... like those "heroes" currently sitting in The Hague.

So, yeah, hats off to Janica. Truly. But when I watch her, I see beauty and pure willpower first. I see the strength of an American woman and the perfect example of how to represent our country through actual action instead of just empty, loud words.
