this is just pathetic
If Solomon actually managed to defend anything for once, maybe they'd be worth saving with a STIC

They'll be miserable after failing, and maybe our guys will actually find some motivation to settle an old score.

Give me a break—the Americans would absolutely steamroll us today by at least 15 points.
frozentiger6 said:One crucial thing about this game—if it weren't for Omeyer, we’d still be losing today.

Sad, it's sad—but it's the truth.

Yeah, probably wouldn't have stood a chance.

Our defense was absolute garbage.

You can't win a shootout when both goalies combine for nine saves.
rustystag7 said:He completely lost it—I have no idea what was going through his head since they weren't even utilizing Džomba and Šprem properly—and I honestly don't know who's more to blame, Chuck Noll or whoever else

It’s obviously Chuck Noll

Who else has actually seen anyone play with two centers???

One sits out on the wing, and then when the ball finally reaches him, he either stands there frozen or charges in and misses like Vori did today

Bottom line: Chuck Noll threw this game away with his rigid, outdated ideas

I just hope he gets his act together by tomorrow

I can't wait for Caleb to get back so we can stop playing with two damn centers

Put Sulić in the offense and Vori in the defense—that's how you do it
Seriously, just take a quick look at our roster—who the hell are we actually supposed to replace anyone with??

School — nobody.
Jones — sure, maybe Miller.
Perry — zero options.
Ivan — nothing.
Lach — absolutely nothing.

Sully — Vori (honestly the only decent backup we have).

We’re out here chasing championships, but look at this squad—once Bailey walks out that door, we're finished.
rapidbison42 said:Alilović will show up... and Terzić can get back on the field as early as tomorrow if the coalitions in Canada and America reach an agreement..

And I hope it doesn't stay this way--it’s going nowhere at this rate.
Aaron Gonzalez6 said:The issue isn't the roster—it's the tactics. We just run everything through the bigs, or we go to the wings if that fails. That’s it. Our defense is positioned way too wide, period.
I think Lino shares the blame here—the bench is way too thin...

But why is the bench so short? You have to ask Lino. Why on earth did he send Losert home only to call him right back?
And why hasn't Sprem been playing lately?
If Peri isn't clicking, put him on the bench and let's actually try using the wings.

Well, the French played us perfectly today.

They shut down Balić, and our entire offense collapsed because everything flows through him.

That’s exactly how future opponents are going to play us—and then we're screwed.

Something fundamentally has to change in our game plan.
driftingnomad68 said:Are we actually playing anything else there, or is this it?

Honestly—maybe it’d be better if we didn't—but we’re playing tomorrow for third place anyway.
We gave up 11 goals straight from the goal line 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲
Sandra Hernandez13 said:I’m gifting you a Requiem for that optimism you lost a long time ago...
Get your head out of the sand.. 👎

Oh please—tell me exactly who’s going to be playing in 2008?

Balic won't be nearly as good anymore, Džomba isn't even going to play, and Metlicic at 31 definitely won't have that shot left.
Roger Allen3 said:but he completely lost his mind... for some reason I can't wrap my head around, instead of just passing the ball, he kept committing offensive fouls... honestly, that's the kind of nonsense I've come to expect from those guys🙂

And here we are, acting like we have the greatest national team on the planet

The reality? We don't have a single decent backup for anyone on this starting lineup—no wonder we always hit a wall in the semifinals.

It’s the second year in a row we've been convincingly crushed like this.
rapidbison42 said:Congrats to the boys on making the semifinals.
Let’s be realistic here—we aren't going to make the finals every single time. Reaching the semis for the fifth straight year is a massive win in its own right. Considering Lacković, Metličić, and Džomba missed the entire preseason due to injuries, this is actually an incredible result.
We’ve already locked in our spots for the next EP and the next SP.
So, what's the move?
If we can get Alilović in goal and Terzić back in the wing and defense positions, plus bring Zrnić and Valčić back into the fold... then—and only then—will we finally have the depth we need.

Tomorrow we go for the medal, and in two years, we go for the gold.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm skeptical.

I'm definitely not sold on the idea that Alilović is actually coming back.

And Terzić won't even be ready to play until the Beijing games.

Give it a year—then all these same old problems will start up again.
Sandra Hernandez13 said:THEY DEFINITELY ARE 😉

Well, they aren't.
Sandra Hernandez13 said:Fine then, let's just push the gold buy off until 2008.
If nothing else, at least they won't screw us out of our pensions now. 🙂
ajmo Džombaleo 😍

We won't even make it to 2008 as a group.
frozentiger6 said:I seriously hope I never have to listen to that idiot Susec ever again.

And don't you dare start attacking the players or Cervar. They gave it everything they had.

Credit where credit is due, but expecting gold here was pure delusion. We just didn't have the depth—plus, Metlicic was an absolute disaster. Honestly, I wouldn't hire him again if you paid me, unless he actually finds some common sense. The guy is way too high-strung.

They gave it everything??

Screw that moron Cervar—he’s got Voriah playing on the wing when we could have gone on vacation with a full roster of twelve healthy starters.
It’s pathetic

Tomorrow we lose—obviously—to the Danes, because it’ll be a total repeat of what happened against the Canadians

We just can't seem to beat them twice in a single tournament

And even if we scrape by with bronze, I won't be celebrating much

But hey, life goes on—after this championship, we’re looking at a year without handball, which is pure torture

In a month, nobody will even remember this tournament existed
Unknown said:This is getting ridiculous—he's handling the ball like he just found out his entire family was wiped out.

And what exactly is he supposed to do when he's down seven?
I get the feeling that today we've got nothing but benchwarmers out there in the offense
Mask. said:Did they forget how to play handball?
How is a collapse like this even possible?😢

It’s the exact same story as last year—that idiot coach keeps keeping Miller on the bench for ten minutes straight just to sub in Spoljarić. Absolute nonsense.

This is just awful.
