That’s the beauty of handball, though—anyone can take down anyone on any given day. 😁 Yeah, the Norwegians really gave those Germans a run for their money. They actually held the lead all the way until the last 20 seconds before the Germans managed to tie it up and force overtime. Then the Germans cruised right into the final and handled the Spaniards like it was nothing, while the Norwegians ended up getting crushed by us. Who knows... maybe we would've been the ones getting thrashed by them in the semis instead.
If they close the outside, you just smash through with a second runner and force them back into their line...
The only real way to stop an outside run is 3, 2, 1 or maybe a 5-1, but you need a real beast out there to pull it off...
Nobody plays like that anymore—especially not for a full 60 minutes or at a high tempo...

Killer files right here. You can really see how much more diverse the Norwegians are compared to us. We just force everything through the middle or settle for outside shots—it's predictable. But they? They shoot from everywhere. Their wing players actually get involved way more than ours do. Man, if you don't shut down those perimeter shooters, you're dead... they absolutely smothered us. That’s what the games feel like, but seeing it laid out in these stats is eye-opening.
From what I can tell, the Vegas oddsmakers have this one sitting at basically 53-47 for a Norway win. Basically a toss-up. Honestly, who gives a damn what the bookies say? It’s one of those games where anything can happen... You could argue back and forth about whether we or the Norwegians have a slight edge, but frankly, who cares about "objective advantages"?
