I’m no tech wizard, so I really need some help here
I've got this built-in webcam on my Dell Inspiron, and honestly, everything was working just fine until yesterday when out of nowhere the video decided to flip upside down—yeah, my head is basically at the bottom of the screen now. Does anyone know how to fix this mess?
So, I've got this debt sitting at $17, plus I own a few properties. How does the bank actually go about seizing real estate? Look, I honestly wouldn't mind if they grabbed my farmland and left me my house alone. I know deep down they’d probably prefer the house since it's worth more, but I'll be out on the street if they take my place. Basically, if I can somehow sort out the situation with the house, are they legally forced to take the farmland instead?
Can someone please help me out here or at least point me in the right direction to find some answers?
I recently bought an apartment, and I've got the purchase agreement all squared away and filed with the IRS. Here’s the kicker, though: the place was held in fiduciary ownership by the bank. I ended up paying off that original loan with a much better deal from another lender, but the property is still technically under the fiduciary ownership of the firm that provided my initial credit. The contract was notarized, I have all the originals in my hands, and the company just has a copy.
On top of that, I've got this personal loan over at JPMorgan Chase. Honestly, there's a real chance I could lose my job soon.
So, can JPMorgan Chase actually pull the trigger on a foreclosure against an apartment that's still in the fiduciary ownership of another company? What kind of specific conditions or legal loopholes would they even need to hit to make that happen? Also, is it possible to take full possession of the place without the original contracts? I heard a rumor somewhere that you absolutely need the originals to get everything recorded properly in the county land records...
Finally paid off my mortgage. Now they’ve released all those security deposits I had tied up. Here’s the thing: back when I set this up, I actually split my main contract into four separate ones just to maximize my savings plan payouts. So, can the bank just hand over the deposit money to the nominal policyholders, or should they have needed my green light since their contracts were basically just derivatives of my original one? I mean, the folks at Vienna told me straight up that they couldn't pay out without my consent, but then they went ahead and dropped the cash to them anyway without even asking me. Is that even legal?
The whole deal about being able to open accounts abroad starting back in early 2011 was basically just one of the prerequisites for us joining the European Union. It was all about liberalizing the financial markets.
I don't think this is going to have anything to do with taxes, honestly. Your employer handles the tax withholding right when they cut your paycheck, and I'm pretty sure all our local companies are just going to keep working with American banks anyway. Once the money actually hits your account, the taxes are already settled, so you're free to transfer it overseas if you want.
But look, those are two totally different things. We’re looking at the rollout of a unified registry for all accounts, which means the IRS will be able to execute garnishments on domestic accounts super easily. But if the cash is sitting in an offshore account? Well, then it's way outside the IRS's jurisdiction. On that note, I'm actually not sure if there's a specific law stating how much cash has to stay in your account after you cover your obligations, like mortgage payments and stuff. I heard a rumor somewhere that you have to leave 30% of your salary in there, or something like $667, and that you can't touch it, but I haven't found anything official to back that up... Does anyone actually know the deal with that?
Linda Hill29 said:I haven't been around much lately. Things just got incredibly messy and I honestly couldn't pull myself out of the despair for a second. They finally sent my dad for a CT scan, and turns out there was a massive amount of fluid sitting right under his left rib cage, so they had to go in for a puncture. They drained almost a liter and a half of fluid. I thought, great, finally we found the reason he’s in so much pain. Then, the next morning, they tell me they found intestinal contents in the fluid, so now he's headed for surgery. They couldn't pinpoint exactly where the anastomosis is leaking. They've put in drains near that localized inflammation area, a nasojejunal tube that's basically acting as a drain for bile and other stuff to keep the anastomosis dry, and a temporary stoma to handle his feeding. The doctors are saying the anastomosis should seal itself since the leak is minor. He's in Jil right now, day three. No fever at all since the surgery, which is good. I wish he could stay there longer, but I'm terrified they'll push to discharge him soon. Last time, he was out after only two days. Now we're just playing the waiting game for that connection to heal. I don't even want to think about any other options; I just have to pray they're right.
Thanks to everyone for the replies and the support, it really means the world. Sometimes I disappear because in those moments I feel like I'm drowning and I don't even know what to do with myself. I don't know who to turn to, what to fight for, or if I even have the right to insist on anything. I'm just hoping for the best, and honestly, all your advice helps me more than you know.
I've been reading through everything here... unfortunately, my own father passed away from stomach cancer a few years back. His surgery went perfectly and he was discharged for home care after five days, and everything seemed fine for about three months. He recovered well initially, but then metastases hit his liver and spread via lymphoma, which ended up being the end of the road. Usually, stomach cancer tends to migrate to the liver later on. Mind you, my dad was quite a bit older than yours (he was 68). Watch out for pain in the liver area and yellowing of the skin or eyes... seriously, if you notice those symptoms, it's a massive RED FLAG!!!
I don't mean to freak you out, but you know how heavy this situation is. I'm not sure if they told you that they usually consider someone "cured" if they make it five to seven years post-op.
