Remake

While the directing is decent enough, the actual plot feels like it was slapped together in ten minutes—which is pretty jarring considering the opening credits claim this is based on a true story. The acting is just mediocre too (New Yorkers don't talk with a Chicago accent, regardless of their background), and let's be real, the only standout moment was a brief shot of a certain actress. A weak three out of ten for me.
Man, give me a break!!!
This remake is showing us exactly what we Americans have had to endure firsthand. The point of the movie isn't to make you feel good or leave you wanting a sequel. Quite the opposite! The entire message is "never let a remake like this happen again." Those actors you’re calling mediocre actually LIVED through this story. They spent four years dodging sniper fire while standing in line for water! Besides, who are you to sit there and judge?
