I can catch the race at 7:30 PM 😉 but honestly, I’m just expecting both Ferraris to end up trailing behind Robert Kubica again.

the bet stays valid as long as those top five drivers on the starting grid manage to cross the finish line without spinning out, crashing into someone else, or having some mechanical nightmare mid-race that tanks their standing.
makes sense?

Sure, but what exactly are we betting on?

Edward Howard2 said:You totally missed my point there; I was just thinking about how any of the top-tier drivers could practically pull a disappearing act on this track if they wanted to, just to clear the way for Massa to snag a podium finish.

Look, Hamilton drives like he’s still in driver's ed—he's far too cautious to ever just throw in the towel. But Kimi? Honestly, it might be in his best interest to actually push it for once, though that's just my two cents.

Look, let me get one thing straight right out of the gate: my name isn't darkmarlin16.🙂

Look, darkmarlin16, I honestly don't get what you're so hung up on. It’s like watching someone obsess over a broken vending machine when there’s a whole buffet right next to it—you're putting all this energy into something that just isn't going to give you anything back in the end. At some point, you have to realize it's all the same.

do you actually have a clue what's going through my head?😂
my take is that this track is an absolute unforgiving beast; one tiny slip-up and you're either smashing straight into the concrete barrier or buried deep in the gravel trap, and honestly, there’s just no coming back from that kind of mistake once you've lost it.

Look, you're being way too harsh by just judging Massa based on those first two races where he went off track; you can't just take those outliers and project them onto his entire career like that—that's a massive logical leap if you ask me. If you actually watch him now, you'll see how incredibly steady he's become and how much of a reliable hand he really is behind the wheel.🤷

Alright, let’s make a bet: whoever loses this is going to be whining to their mom for three straight days.
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Alright, let's settle this once and for all: whoever loses this one is going to have to go running back to their mama and start crying about it like a little kid.

The thing is, there isn't even any real movement or heavy lifting involved here; they're just following the textbook playbook, you know? It’s all very systematic, and if you look at how things are playing out today, you can bet your life they'll try to pull the exact same stunt tomorrow—you'll see how it goes.

Give me a break, don't be like that

😂😂😂 Honestly, the odds are much higher than you’re giving them credit for.

If everyone gets a clean launch, the only way Massa holds onto a spot at the front is if he's staring down Rosberg's bumper. Alonso isn't going to hang around long enough to see the pit window, and by the time Kubica's making his move, he'll probably be sitting on a cool twenty-second lead over the rest of the pack.

Hahaha, just you wait.
You want to put money on it?
Bet you anything Massa walks away with a podium finish.

Edward Howard2 said:not gonna happen😂 but honestly, if you’re actually serious about hitting that 1,000 mark by 9 PM tomorrow, you better start grinding right now, otherwise you'll be playing catch-up forever😂

haha, man, I couldn't care less about those numbers—I don't even track that stuff—but if I were you, I'd get moving😂 because once tomorrow rolls around, you won't have nearly enough time left to make it happen😂🤣

Edward Howard2 said:what two Ferraris?😂 All I see is one Ferrari actually capable of giving Leclerc a run for his money.😕

Look, Massa’s probably going to be in a position to be breathing down Leclerc's neck—maybe even Hamilton's—before we're even through the first lap.🤣

darkmarlin16 is our witness here 😂

Fair enough, just make sure you don't go bribing him behind my back before we even get started 😂

Edward Howard2 said:So basically, everything has to be flawless, right? Like, they can't deal with any actual hiccups—imagine if you get a flat tire on the highway and end up dropping ten spots in the standings. They just aren't built for that reality.

Everything has to be perfectly choreographed down to the last detail.👍😉

Edward Howard2 said:we can issue a ban😁
anyone who loses their bet gets locked out of the forum for 5 to 10 days (just pick a number in that range)
if the loser actually shows up, the FIA hands down a full 15-day ban
sound good?

let's go with 5 days

placidsurfer9 said:I’m calling it now—this kid is going to pull off a win!!! Robert Kubica might actually do it! I just really hope he can find a way to maintain that blistering pace and stay ahead of those much more consistent Ferrari cars once the race actually gets underway....

Honestly, I find it hard to believe he's got the nerves to handle the sheer pressure of chasing down two Ferraris all at once.
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
😁And honestly, if someone ends up missing out on that top five spot, who cares? It’s really no big deal to anyone else.
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
And honestly, if someone fails to crack the top five, who's actually going to care? It’s not like anyone’s keeping score outside of this bubble.
