Amanda Robinson4, where'd my posts go? I'm seriously proud of those last two.

I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus—but honestly, I usually end up commenting more than I actually vote. And if I am voting, I’m almost always leaving a comment too, especially when I'm backing the winners. To be fair, picking and voting isn't even my main thing. The only times I stay quiet is when I’m slammed for time—or when I just couldn't care less about something, to the point where even calling it "bad" or "mid" feels like too much effort.

Same here. I'm mostly curious if we'll end up with way more suggestions than comments again, or if we finally flip the script and see more actual discussions than just feedback.😁

I don't see anyone suggesting new albums—they should be dropping topics for the old ones instead. ☕

Man, man, I gotta wrap up some business first, but tonight is definitely gonna be a Walking Heatsa thread. Though, honestly, I might just stop suggesting anything if Sinan doesn't take the win.

Personally much prefer I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside—but his whole discography is top tier, from the early stuff back in 2010 to these more abstract tracks he's dropping lately. 👍

Honestly, that one burst of internal rhyme alone is enough to put this album in the technical rap hall of fame—that's why it matters, not even because of the lyrics, as shocking as they might be (not that anything can really shock you after listening to Ellis or Marquis de Sade):

Go on, suck it up; but hurry, i Got nuts to bust and butts to fuck and ups to shut and sluts to fuckin
And butts to fuck and ups to shut and sluts to fuckin' uppercut
It's o. F., buttercup, go ahead, fuck with us
Without a doubt, a sure-fire way to get your mother fucked
Ask her for a couple bucks, shove a trumpet up her butt
Play a song, invade her thong
My dick is having guts for lunch, as well as supper
Then I'll rummage through Her ruptured cunt Found The mustard Fucking nosey neighbors notica something's up
Found The mustard
Fucking nosey neighbors notica something's up
"What you doing?" – nothing much
Would shout some other stuff
Got to fucking bounce, guess the bouncer's had enough of us

Why would I even mess around? I’m dying to write something about Talking Heads—but it's tough, honestly—because we're talking about maybe the most important album of my entire life.

Not really feeling this week, honestly. I still love Zum the most because it’s Young—but man, that's easily his most schizophrenic album, probably one of the bottom three from the 70s. It’s right up there with Rundek's crazy mess. Halid is solid, those Romantic Quartets and Maria Muldaur are alright, but I could never get into James. As for Deftones and especially Boredoms? Boring as hell. Actually, the latter is just straight-up nauseating—which is what I should have known the second that abstract master suggested them.😁

Seriously though—finally, some real TH action. 🎉
And I'm honestly stoked it's this specific album!

Nah, it would've been way better if they'd just picked that snooze-fest Remain in light.😬

So, are we finally opening a thread for The Fallu?

Dennis Martin6 said:You're totally wrong, man! 😁 I haven't listened to even a single second of any of those suggested albums. Instead, I decided to switch up my voting strategy every week—basically using ideological phobia just to stay morally objective and aesthetically obscure. This week's theme was specifically albums with titles that rhyme with "shaking." Though, this whole tactic has a built-in self-destruct clause where it fails if someone suggests a classic rock legend or brings up a certain pop icon during the same week. So, honestly, I just ended up asking my cat, Mrmu, who she would vote for while I was checking my horoscope. Seriously!

So, what does the horoscope say, ATMA?😁

OP, our doctor just showed us his softer side. 😁 But seriously—if some American or Englishman performed the EXACT same songs as Pengov, would it still be dismissed as "mediocre playing with folk clichés and redundant pastiche"?😁

Steven Newman50 said:And what about all that forum drama and the petty conspiracies—you know, the stuff that ended up having such an unexpected impact on your life? If only it were yours—just for you. ☕) My mental state—honestly, I’ve got some lines that capture it perfectly. 🙂

Listen up:

When you’re just itching to go off on someone online—
And they’re just looking for drama—honestly.
Sometimes you just gotta unplug—it's necessary.
Gotta read this book.

Matt Haig—*Notes on a Nervous Planet*.

Well, hopefully you guys can finally chill out now that this is over.

👍

I was just thinking about that Morrissey line—"There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more." —and man, it hits home.

I totally messed up with that whole mental breakdown thing—though honestly, it’s probably just because I said Hope Sandoval could actually go hard.😁

Steven Newman50 said:How did you even remember that, man? 🙏 I used to have that on cassette and bring it to snack time just so we could listen to it on our last day of second grade. 😁 Back then, besides some pop stuff, we were listening to Colonia, some cheesy dance tracks—total trash—and obviously the Macarena.🙏

I started getting nostalgic for sixth grade once I got into punk, while everyone else in my class was slowly switching over to country music. ☕

jebote, I honestly thought that trend only lasted for the last decade or so. In my circle, almost nobody listened to country.

If you're still taking suggestions, cool—if not... well, bear with me—I've been lying around all day feeling absolutely wrecked by my own sharp wit and intrusive thoughts. Basically, I spent the whole day questioning everything and feeling pretty down.😁🤣

My suggestion is an original from The Falla, truly great
Live At The Witch Trials
(1979.).

It’s not just that—the whole band (aka Mark E. Smith and his Merry Servants😁) was absolutely killing it, regardless of the fact that their frontman probably had more booze in him than actual blood.😁

I seriously have to remind everyone about what might be the most legendary hours ever caught on camera in space history:

Live AT Brownies

The absolute best parts hit right around 24:30 and 32:30—though it might actually be a world first to see a band (specifically those E-jeve disciples 😁) basically fall apart mid-set, since that happened somewhere around the 49th or 50th minute.
