Lisa Davis46 said:here's another one from me today-- perfect for summer patios and cocktails two for one!

(if only. working Saturday. 🙂)

Hey, you and Dennis Martin6—guessing you two are the biggest fans of this stuff—can someone explain how you actually listen to these wavy, ambient, drugstore-trip vibes? And I don't mean "how dare you," I mean is there some kind of psychological prep needed for music like this? I just don't get it. Some music guru suggested this wonder to me a month ago, and after 15 minutes, I seriously wanted to jump out a window. Thank god I shut it off, because even Metallica wouldn't land on this!

This latest set is probably the weirdest one yet—it’s like some massive compendium of global music history from the Middle Ages to now, man.

A total social masterpiece! Esač is going to live forever now! 🙏

Man, my heart is actually breaking right now—I was just about to suggest Forever Breathes The Lonely Word for next week!

Lisa Davis46 said:Can doesn't have anything to do with this decade. 😁 It’s definitely not his era.
Even if I hadn't put the list together, I'd still know which suggestion was his.😛

While we wait for whoever picked the winning album to finally start a new thread...
I noticed Dennis Hall41 hasn't shown up yet—he has a habit of pulling these disappearing acts.

Anyone want to do the honors and give us an intro for Metallica? Who actually voted for them?

Well, I'm back. I was feeling pretty burnt out—both mentally and from the music—after grinding through work these past few weeks. This whole American capitalism thing is a killer.👎

What, were you guys planning on locking the thread? Screw all that—while I was gone, I'll be right here holding down the fort.🕺

Honestly, just tell me you found someone to hook up with after getting vaccinated instead of whining about life's big turning points. Music was probably just your refuge because you couldn't find anyone to sleep with at Coachella or in some parking lot.😁

Man, I am seriously howling at the Moon—let the music do the talking:

J Dilla actually lived long enough to see his masterpiece released, then passed away just three days later. It’s a story that gives me chills—those three days feel almost biblical. This record is basically the gold standard for 21st-century sampling and a masterclass in album structure; alongside Madlib, he was easily the most gifted architect in the game.

Honestly, since 2008, I probably listen to Donuts at least once a year just to have a good cry for J—especially when that gorgeous guitar sample hits during Time: The Donut Of The Heart

What's up, man.😒

Just kidding—I’ll get that thread started tonight. Been tied up all day following the HQ guidelines.

Actually, I'll even grant your wish—pretty sure that was what you wanted.

As for everything else: our lord and saviour, jason newstead

Don't forget that this was—if I'm not mistaken—not just the greatest concert ever, but easily one of the biggest crowds in history.

Edit - well, maybe not, here's the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ended_concerts

I was honestly just wondering what kind of crazy logic led to this crap beating out every other album by a mere 3 or 4 votes.
Artists doing normal shit in Music ·
Someone asked for a thread on GG being the album of the week—so here he is just doing normal shit—shitting, eating crap, while basically trolling the crowd and flipping everyone off or showing whatever's left of his dignity.

Deal with it.

Back when I first started posting on forums, I had this absolutely legendary avatar—some gross, overweight old lady lounging in a bathtub with her legs kicked up, while she’s basically spraying diarrhea everywhere. My whole logic was to filter out any potential intruders or total bores, making sure only the people actually interested in the substance of my posts would stick around.

Don't hate me, but we need to shake things up a bit. This subforum has become way too tame for my taste—it needs more punk energy.

Mark Cruz15 said:You and I are soulmates—too bad I'm not at least 50% gay. 😢

Never heard of that Elvis guy, and didn't listen to Kurtović much. Honestly, those three Puscifer albums have at least five classics each, so picking a favorite is tough. Besides, for me, nothing beats their live shows or Psihomodo Pop.

So, you're basically saying you're part gay?😒🤣

Those first three are practically flawless as whole units—I mean, sure, they have weak moments, but they're so well put together that every track feels essential.

While waiting for the devil to show up, that might be my favorite double studio album from this side of the pond—slightly better than Sunčane strane ulice, even. It's a total rock feast, kind of like the Exile on Main street YU-rock vibe.

Yeah, definitely check out Elvis Presley. Myths and legends... it's a blast.

Mark Cruz15 said:Top tier—maybe even the best duo from the local rock scene. As a standalone band, they might get edged out by The Indices, but when you look at the albums? Nothing touches this level of quality.

I spent most of this week torn between listening to Ride the Lightning and waiting for the devil at dawn.

In my book, the only real contenders are the legends about Elvis Presley, waiting for the devil at dawn... and Greetings from Savannah.

Metallica - Ride the Lightning (1984)

It’s more than just metal—it’s better than anything else out there.

It's about time we finally got you here. Honestly—hope you keep the weekly supply of killer suggestions coming.

Mark Cruz15 said:Don't come crying to me when some pop album from the early 2000s takes the top spot next time. You had Himzo right there in your hands—you just blew it. ☕

Honestly, Himzo not winning here is one of the biggest sins this thread has committed so far. I spent all last Monday spinning this album—it’s easily one of the best compilations I've ever heard.

Sign Your Name is solid, but mostly because it hits that childhood nostalgia. To be fair, that's pretty much one of my first musical memories.

Yeah, Terence Trent D'Arby—total animal.🤣
He reminds me of those singers that Pervanov’s crew used to mess around with—kind of like the American soul version of Đorđe Marjanović back in the 80s.

Killer band—honestly maybe the best doom I've heard in forever. I played Atma on repeat the second it dropped.

Suggestion: Counting Crows - August and Everything after (1993)

Album

Total masterpiece—one of those massive emo-folk/alt-rock classics from '93. I know it won't win you guys over, since you all like being edgy, but I really don't give a damn what you think.

Mark Cruz15 said:What you're talking about has nothing to do with Hulet. He’s just your classic country singer—totally different from all that trap nonsense guys like MC Stojan or Rasta are pushing nowadays.

Read the post again—I never said he was like that. I called him a classic hack. He isn't even "classic country" per se; we shouldn't be grouping him in with Ilić or Muslimović because the sound is completely different, and honestly, he's two levels below them.

Jason Mendoza said:this whole anti-vax crowd is pretty wild—they hate the mandates just as much as anyone else, but they still won't take the shot because they're convinced it's all about microchips and other nonsense.

honestly, I bet it's the same group that’s been voting for the Republicans for twenty years straight—then they act shocked when the country is a complete mess (not trying to get political in this shop, though).

is it schizophrenia or what?

In battle there is no law

It isn't schizophrenia—it's fear. They see the guy pushing the vaccine saying we need to trim down the global population through various means, including shots. Look, if the truth is out there, it's out there—you can find the videos yourself, and no, they aren't staged.

Mark Cruz15 said:Honestly, Hulet is legit. He actually has talent—he isn't just some poser. I’ve got at least 20 tracks of his that I genuinely vibe with.

Look, at the very least, it's pure, unapologetic country music—the guy doesn't even pretend his comfort zone is anything other than flashy models, expensive wine, and smashing glasses. But when some small-town wannabe comes along acting like a total creep, trying way too hard to be this "urban-meets-rural" hybrid—balancing between country, reggaeton, pop, and trap—it's just too much. It's exhausting.
