The Right Stuff (1983) in Movies ·
I was watching this documentary on TV recently about that legendary flight school—you know, the one at Edwards Air Force Base. 😁

They were spinning this narrative about pilots being these brilliant, high-level scientists, but then I thought back to that movie and realized the truth: most of them are just reckless cowboys with zero common sense. 😛
Solaris (A.T.) in Movies ·
driftingeagle27 said:Later in the film, it turns out that these visitors aren't just tactile experiences; they're actually visible to others—not just to the specific person whose "mental content" birthed them—and they can even be captured on video footage. For instance, take the message from the man who committed suicide.

The thing is, those visitors might be tangible and visible, but only while you're physically on the station. I suspect the proximity to the Solaris ocean messes with human perception so much that the pilot's recording wouldn't show anyone on Earth; you’d likely only see them if you were watching the footage while stationed right there.

Just my own take on this logical inconsistency.

The cinematography is definitely above average

But honestly, that bloody vomiting scene felt like the longest single shot in cinematic history😂
Movie Stereotypes in Movies ·
It seems to me you’ve overlooked two of the most frequent offenders,

- Drivers never actually look at the road while they're behind the wheel (a classic symptom of older films)
- Girls in horror movies always choose to run in the most illogical direction possible

Steve Buscemi
has this uncanny ability to make every single movie he touches feel unforgettable, even if he isn't exactly the one topping the marquee. 😛
