Fire Kiss
in Music ·
Do you remember? It was our very first day
Standing behind the high school, shivering because I was frozen to the bone.
You had to sit through every single class.
In that beautiful spot, I gave you a Kiss.
Do you remember the colors when the sun starts to rise?
When I knew every single move you made while you slept.
And those sweet anxieties when you head home.
But I know deep down you'll be back again.
Bye, bye, bye, my little one.
Bye, bye, bye, go have a better dream.
You took everything I had to give.
And I know I won't love anyone else again.
Bye, bye, bye, my little one.
Bye, bye, bye, go have a better dream.
I'm not blaming you for any of this.
I'll just live off what we used to have.
Was there anyone out there who could help me?
Or anyone who sees things the way I do?
People say time will erase the pain.
Let them erase theirs; I want to keep mine.
Is there somewhere far away from all this?
Where I don't have to hear people laughing at me?
So I don't have to hear that "time heals all wounds" crap.
Let them heal; I'll hold onto my grief.
Bye, bye, bye..
THE KINGS
Hands down, the best album is "Oh what a man" (1978), featuring Ozzy Osbourne, the Sheikh, and... I can't remember the third guy.
"I learned three chords and stopped right there, because I didn't want to become some arrogant smart-ass. If I had, we’d just be showing off about who knows more chords, without a damn song to show for it. Let those guys compete over chords; God will give me songs and arias, because I'm a sane man," once said the great Mike, who actually got sober at a private clinic in New York and is currently busy writing his memoirs.
