I think that sounds much more terrifying than those photos showing just bandages.
That procedure isn't used for every case. Do not scare people if you aren't certain about the specifics.
My entire surgery was performed through the nostrils. It lasted about three hours. I stayed in the hospital for eight days, five of which involved having nasal packing. It is uncomfortable, but there is no pain. If anyone asks if I would do it again, my answer is YES.
