who unfortunately left us far too soon.

Someone mentioned he died in a helicopter crash—why wasn't it a plane crash involving Eric Clapton instead?

All in all, it's a real shame.

I recently picked up a DVD, Live at Austin, Texas,

it’s such an unusual concert—just three guys on stage and maybe 20 people in the crowd
when the show kicks off....
It sounds incredible, but the whole vibe is just so surreal...

And honestly, I think there’s a massive gap between pioneers like Black Sabbath and some American kids today—you know, the ones whose parents bought them their first guitars—who just blast noise, call themselves "death" anything, and act like they've actually done something.
It's all handed to them on a silver platter,

Ah, the Eagles,

I used to listen to them constantly about fifteen years ago.

Nowadays, I still find myself reaching for them quite often.

Look, I wouldn’t call myself a massive country fan—even though I do listen to it—
but the Eagles are just something else.
Their vocal harmonies are top-tier on pretty much every track,
plus the guitar work is spot on without feeling cluttered, unlike a lot of other American country music out there.

All in all, they’re definitely one of my musical favorites... 👍

It's a shame they didn't stay together longer; in my opinion, the solo careers just never quite hit that same level of greatness.

Maybe some stuff works, but it's just not the same.

Regarding the space and gear,
in a city like Chicago, there are plenty of spots where you can rent everything from the studio to the backline for rehearsals....

So just keep at it, 👍

I mean, seeing 15-year-olds obsessed with low-brow pop trash—it's honestly a little embarrassing,
though I don't think the kids are really to blame here,
it’s more about the state of most Americans, unfortunately,

I feel like the real weight falls on those radio stations catering to the lowest common denominator instead of actually trying to elevate musical taste. It takes effort to curate good music, but anyone can blast garbage 24/7,
I’m talking about places like NPR—which is still decent—unlike that swarm of local stations just cranking out whatever's trending... 👎

It makes sense, though—when kids see some flashy losers, like mobsters or pro athletes, acting like they're all that because they blast that cheap pop, and they just want to look cool for the girls,

I’m actually terrified of what an MTV America project would look like,
that could be absolutely devastating for the younger generation...

At the end of the day, we all have a responsibility to guide our kids and show them the difference between quality and junk. It isn't easy, but it's necessary.
