Alex Evans10 said:Well, damn. I ended up going in for an exam because my primary care doctor insisted on it—I've just been dealing with constant congestion and these endless throat, ear, and sinus infections. Everything... at the local Mercy Hospital. The doctor saw me and basically just handed me a date for surgery and called it a day. It all felt quite sudden. But then I realized they put nasal packing in... oh boy 😢

And from what I've gathered, there will be packing involved... once I looked into it a bit more, I realized how uncomfortable it is having to breathe through your mouth. And when they finally take it out... well, it's not the end of the world, it's just a brief moment... but honestly, if it fixes this, I'll take it. I've been struggling with this for about eight years now, and the headaches are just constant...🙂
Sam Kim12 said:Yeah, because I dealt with two fractures myself, and like I mentioned before, they had to do a full reconstruction... but honestly, it isn't even a big deal when you know you're in good hands.😉

I was supposed to be back by Monday, but I think I'll push it to Tuesday since there won't be a doctor available until then...

Breathing isn't really an issue😉, you just get used to it. Personally, I don't feel that suffocating sensation like some of the folks in the other rooms do; the only thing that actually gets on my nerves is the bleeding, but as long as it's just draining forward from the nostrils, I don't really mind much😬. My nose started itching a little while ago because everything is pulling as the Dexic takes effect, but it’s not uncomfortable...

I can say I'm more than satisfied with the doctor, the treatment, the therapy, and everything else. Everyone who goes in to have their polyps removed (they are those roller-shaped ones that come out easily and absorb everything so well) gets plenty of lidocaine in the nose, so the actual removal doesn't hurt at all😁.

I'm just glad you're happy with how things are going and that everything is alright🙂.
Sam Kim12, I am truly so glad to hear everything went smoothly for you and that you're feeling absolutely wonderful about it all.... As for me, I'm feeling a bit under the weather... just a little numb, I suppose. Hoping for the best...
I was wondering, have you ever actually gone through with an osteotomy... you know, where they have to break the bone?
Kate Taylor59, did you happen to catch that post on the OP thread??

My apologies, I see now that you were there... I went through everything, but I seem to have lost track of who said what...
Hello everyone! I was wondering if it’s actually any harder to undergo surgery during the summer months... mine is scheduled for right at the end of May, so I’ve been thinking about it lately. Does anyone have any thoughts or personal experiences they could share regarding the timing?
