I always find it a bit jarring when a new player steps in and takes the number of a recent fan favorite. It feels like the team is trying to move on too fast, even if it's just a coincidence. Does anyone else get a weird vibe from seeing a different face in a legendary number?

It’s been nearly three months since my Crespin gel injection, and if I had to pinpoint a win—it’s that my knee hasn't flared up again during this window. In the meantime, an MRI picked up a little blister on my patellar cartilage (Grade 1-2 chondromalacia—which can be pretty painful, and clearly, the gel isn't a magic fix for that). Still, by strengthening the muscles, I’m finding I can lean on my left leg more, and it feels like my body is slowly patching up that little injury on its own. What used to be a sharp pain whenever I walked down stairs has mellowed out into a duller, less intense ache. My doctor just tells me to stay patient. As for my other knee, it calmed down quickly—maybe ten days—and felt fine for a while, but now it’s starting to act up again. Dealing with chondromalacia seems to be a bit of a waiting game...
Unfortunately, about a month and a half after getting the injection, I have to say it’s had little to no effect on my left knee. My right one calmed down slightly, so I started using electrostimulation on my quads—along with some specific non-invasive exercises and riding a stationary bike with the seat cranked up super high and very low resistance (since I'm 6'3", if you can believe it). I'm still fighting an uphill battle just to regain mobility. So far, the electrostimulation has actually been the most helpful thing because it really helped reduce the stiffness in my legs. From what my doctors have told me so far, there's basically no benefit here. When you're dealing with patellar chondromalacia, you really have to fight your own battles—figuring out your limits and adjusting, or honestly, completely overhauling your entire lifestyle.

Three months ago, I was out running regularly—now my knee is completely shot. To make matters worse, three days ago the other knee started acting up too. I’m waddling around like a duck, and even basic stuff—like just stepping into a bathtub—is a massive struggle.
Looks like running is officially off the table for me.

I had my first Crespin gel injection in my left knee exactly 10 days ago. I'm 42—diagnosed with patellofemoral chondromalacia. The injection itself didn't hurt at all, despite what the doctor warned me to expect. Within two hours, the leg swelled up, though there was no pain (probably because the knee wasn't actively inflamed at the time). That swelling—or rather, the tightness—started to subside after about 3 or 4 days.
After that, I started feeling some relief in terms of better mobility. My doctor mentioned the effects would kick in around the 10-day mark, and it looks like he was right. I can put weight on it now, though I'm still playing it safe until I know for sure. I'll keep everyone posted as things progress.
