shadowbison53 said:Of course. The line between what’s banned and what counts as "local flavor" is drawn by that little clique that clearly handpicks the moderators. It’s no wonder you can’t even see how messed up this is.

They might as well actually write a rulebook defining what qualifies as "flavor" versus when insulting people or trolling becomes a violation—if that’s not too much work for them. I’m happy to volunteer my time; I guarantee we’d come up with something interesting.

At the end of the day, you get the subforum you deserve based on the mods you have.

Well yeah, the mods decide what's allowed. Unless you think you should be calling the shots? 🙂

Insults and trolling get you flagged, period. If something isn't covered by the rules, just hit the report button.

VB16 isn't gonna get busted; it's just part of the forum lore now.

shadowbison53 said:Let’s try this one more time. It isn't about people making jokes; it's about the selective tolerance for blatant insults and trolling, combined with biased moderation. That’s exactly how a subforum turns into a total dumpster fire. To put it bluntly: when a common troll sees that 90% of the time their behavior is tolerated—or even subtly encouraged when they lean into that whole "UEFA is corrupt" narrative—while anyone else gets slapped down just for showing a bit of passion, you end up with the pigsty we have right now.

Whatever. I’m an idiot for even trying to have these "debates"🙏.

People are out here calling teams Inter Crimel, AS Roma, or just straight-up star jerk all the time and nobody cares. This isn't some fancy ballet recital.

Look, football isn't gonna be some sterile, polite little tea party. Trash talk and banter are part of the game, and honestly, I don't think anyone should be getting penalized for it. And man, if you're actually getting your feelings hurt just because someone mentions that the officiating seems to favor FC Barcelona, then I get it—I’d probably be feeling pretty salty too.

Besides, let's be real: all those posts above were clearly targeting FC Barcelona and their players. Meanwhile, you're just attacking me personally. You're taking this whole thing down to a personal level, which pretty much says everything I need to know about your intellectual depth and, well, how mature you are.

Anyway, thanks for pointing out my posts to me. Such a huge help.

Thoughtful and articulate posts from "the other side" regarding shadowbison53:

Honestly, it feels like you aren't really part of that toxic gutter crowd of so-called haters.

I’m telling you, there’s zero point in even looking their way or letting them get under your skin—whether it's the media brain rot or these clowns on the forums.

It’s like getting worked up because everyone is blasting country music or listening to Jelena Rozga, or because people are obsessed with watching some trashy reality TV show. There's just a specific group of people whose needs are met by that stuff, and that's that.

Just enjoy FC Barcelona football and stop paying attention to those types of lifestyles. It’s a total waste of energy.

Human stupidity can be super triggering, but honestly, you just have to ignore these "FC Barcelona haters."

Do you actually know any sane person in real life who follows soccer and deals with this kind of obsession or childish hysteria? I don't. Normal people just enjoy the game and appreciate how it's played.

It’s just a massive pile of crazy idiots and hysterics who think the whole point of sports is just screaming and acting like the bottom tier of intelligence. Hating on FC Barcelona is basically the definition of illiterate trash. The worst part is that people on this forum actually think they're being funny or superior.

Total mental breakdown in full swing.

First off, that penalty was stupid and dumb, and second, FC Barcelona is still the one that got totally screwed in this matchup.

This whole hysterical mess is pretty interesting to watch.

shadowbison53 said:What is actually going on with the Soccer subforum? Is there some secret reason why insults, trolling, and mindless bashing are allowed if they’re aimed at one specific club, while actual, coherent posts from "the other side" get flagged?

It feels like there’s this little clique of mediocre, barely intelligent posters acting like they own the place, doing whatever they want while getting incredibly sensitive the moment anyone calls out their bias or low-quality takes.

Apparently, posts like these are fine because they align with the views of this little inner circle:

They’re just debating who wins the Champions League, but the trophy is already headed to Los Angeles—everything on the pitch is just a smoke and mirrors show! Michel Platini and Los Angeles should be hauled before the International Court of Justice so they can shut down the club permanently; everyone should just head to Hollywood to act instead. According to some US media speculation, there are even massive production battles over which studio gets to sign stars like Dani Alves and Bosquet!

Supposedly, those two have more talent than Brad Pitt, Sylvester Stallone, Denzel Washington, and all the other A-listers...

Chelsea will just get crushed by the Scandinavians again and go into exile!
I expect Lassie to step up and score two penalty goals again!
Platini needs to be fired immediately; he’s a total criminal fixing Champions League matches, honestly worse than Zdravko Mamić when it comes to that stuff!

It’s always UEFA favoring their home crowd; why wasn't a ref like Damir Skomina handling the Los Angeles vs. Milan match? He wouldn't have turned the game into a circus in front of a global audience!

And that absolute joke of a ref, Bjorn Kuipers, who even refs the Euro? If he handles the final, we're in serious trouble.

Bolded; the goal was rightfully disallowed, Yaya Toure played with his hand, end of story!
The UEFA crowd always has something to say, those little sycophants!

Every single club they play against hates them. Talk about a concentrated dose of pure antipathy in one organization.

Oh, sure. Like it's being rigged. Typical UEFA.

I mean, it goes on like that constantly. This subforum is littered with this kind of garbage that goes unpunished, along with the mindless trolling from an "elite" group that acts like this digital space is their private property.

Look, people should be able to write whatever they want, but does it really have to be moderated by people with questionable intellect and zero maturity? It’s obvious what happens when you give people like that any kind of authority. They probably think this little power trip feeds their egos, but they shouldn't be allowed to step all over everyone else.

Do you really think I should start digging up your old posts on this subject? Trust me, if the bans start flying for everyone, you definitely won't be walking away unscathed.

It’s honestly wild how the refs just let the Mexican players play with their hands up like that

I didn't actually read anything beforehand or after, honestly. Someone in a torrent comment section mentioned it, so I just went to see what they had to say. 🙂
