Is anyone else still clinging to physical cables?

I was looking at my desk setup the other day and realized just how much of a mess the "wireless revolution" actually is. Everyone talks about how much faster and more convenient Wi-Fi has become, but honestly, the moment I try to stream something high-bitrate or jump into a competitive game, I start seeing that dreaded latency spike.
I’ve ended up running more lines through my house than I ever thought I'd need. There's something incredibly satisfying about that "click" when a cable seats properly, knowing you have a dedicated, stable lane that isn't fighting with my neighbor's smart fridge or a passing microwave.
That said, my router's port count is basically non-existent now that I've added a few more smart home hubs and a dedicated workstation. I'm thinking about picking up some extra hardware to expand the network under my desk, but I'm a bit wary of the cheap, unbranded stuff you see everywhere online.
For those of you with heavy data needs, do you swear by a hardwired setup, or have you finally embraced the "everything is wireless" lifestyle?
