Derek Fisher will be the one guarding him—an older veteran at this stage. Yesterday, Rose played him pretty tight, but he was sinking some incredibly difficult shots, the kind that usually just don't fall most nights.
The bottom line is that if those shots weren't such contested, low-percentage attempts, the over would have been a lock against a much better defender. Plus, Andrew Bogut isn't in the lineup yet, which to me leans more toward the over than the under. But honestly, I'm not placing any bets today; this is just my take based on what I saw last night without even digging through the stats or any other nonsense.
Stoudemire is struggling right now because he just doesn't have a reliable PG to run the pick-and-roll with; honestly, those shots he's taking lately feel more like Boshev's specialty. His age isn't helping either, not to mention the injuries and all that. I'm done chasing him. 🙂
Windhorst ESPN Carmelo Anthony is out for the Heat tonight due to ankle and wrist issues. Baron Davis (back) is also sidelined.
Stoudemire is out. He was really the only real option left for the Knicks, consistently putting up 30+ points almost every night when Carmelo wasn't around.
I think we should take the hand on Chicago at 9.5. Looking at how the lines are set for Portland, that seems like a solid value. Plus, Milwaukee is heading in without Bogut.
Stoudemire at the 7 spot, that’s where he should have been yesterday too 😢. These damn fouls, if only Carmelo Anthony would take someone else (no offense to whoever is hitting their over) .
Carmelo Anthony could easily be averaging a 20/10 double-double with assists. He really needs to step away for a week or two; it’s glaringly obvious that these injuries are dragging down his performance.
