Does anyone else deal with pain in the lower abdomen when dealing with a hernia? Honestly, my test results come back totally fine—I’ve done the gastroscopies and colonoscopies, everything looks normal... But still, I get this dull ache in my stomach area, just under the left ribs. It really flares up whenever I lift something heavy on my left side, or even just moving around enough to make those ribs shift a bit. On top of that, I’m getting this low-level heartburn that feels super gnawing, especially at night. I’m constantly bloated, gassy, and there's this nonstop rumbling sensation right in that spot... 🤔
Hey there,
So, my issues originally started with my stomach, but now they’ve moved over to my left colon—that bend in the gut, you know?—where I'm getting this bloating feeling like there's just trapped air in there. It gets pretty uncomfortable whenever I bend over or sit down; it feels like it inflates and then starts aching. Anyway, I totally panicked, so I went straight to a private clinic to get a CBC done. Out of three samples, two showed bleeding. But looking at this forum now, I'm realizing there’s actually a prep process involved that I had no clue about since I just went through a private doctor. I was taking Controloc twice a day at 40mg when my first bowel movement happened, and I wasn't eating great—just felt really weak and off—so my bathroom habits were all over the place, sometimes fine, sometimes a struggle. I ended up submitting the second and third samples on the same day, and they sat out at room temperature for maybe two hours before being handed in. Since I didn't know about any specific prep and was just eating normally, and it hadn't even been 48 hours since I took the Controloc... is it possible these are false positives? It just seems weird to me that 2 out of 3 would show bleeding if it were actually happening, right?

Everything came back totally normal—within the standard ranges and all that. My gastroscopy was fine too; the doctor mentioned there was just a tiny bit of redness on the lining, but nothing else worth worrying about.
Hey there,
So here's the deal:
Whenever I’m sitting down or moving around—basically anything involving my left side—I get this bloating or pain right under my left rib. It gets to the point where it actually feels a bit nauseating sometimes. Plus, I can hear this gurgling sound coming from that part of my gut... most of the time when I'm sitting, it just feels like something is stuck right at that bend where the colon turns. Honestly, I feel way better if I'm just standing up or lying down. The weird thing is, the discomfort and those mild pains or gurgles aren't just localized to that one spot; they spread out toward where my stomach meets the middle of my left colon and even over to the right side.
I had an ultrasound done and everything looked fine, except for this one note:
suspected renal formation vessel in the splenic flexure area
My blood work came back totally normal too.
Two out of three stool samples were positive for occult blood on the fecal test.
But looking at my actual movements, everything seems normal to me—no visible blood or anything.
Since I'm still waiting on my colonoscopy and some other tests, does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
Thanks, and catch ya later.

While you might have a spur alongside it, they aren't necessarily linked.
I deal with plantar fasciitis myself, yet I don't have any spurs. Honestly, sometimes it feels like my plantar fascia is just going to explode from all the tension and intense pain.

PLANTAR FASCITIS -- shared by UC Mini
For me, wearing a night splint was a total game-changer—it actually helped more than the exercises did.
That said, I still make sure to do the stretches.
Whenever the pain flares up again, I’ll wear the splint for a few nights and feel much better.
The only time I felt zero pain was when I was taking Medtronic. Once I stopped, the discomfort came right back.
Of course, nobody is crazy enough to rely solely on Medtronic just to manage plantar fasciitis.
Sophia is totally hitting the nail on the head... most people with PF don't even have heel spurs. I've been struggling with this for about 6 months now. The real kicker is that I run recreationally, so just when things start settling down, I go out for a run and—bam—PF is right back there...
Sophia, where did you pick up that splint and how much did it run you? And hey, if you happen to be in New York City, any chance you could recommend a good orthopedist? I've seen three different specialists already and they all have completely different opinions and diagnoses, and honestly, none of them have actually helped... :/
I mean, seriously, where the hell is the pricing info?? Like, what is even going on with the organizers here??!
hm, it’s kinda weird since nobody’s actually posting about it, but I’m one hundred percent sure about what I saw when I was at the game—back when I was watching the Washington, D.C. handball match with Chamberya, we spotted this poster down in the pub right under the stands advertising the 10-month anniversary for ZZ Top!! I honestly thought maybe I’d just had one too many drinks because it felt so strange that they wouldn't have posted it anywhere else or made an official announcement... but I know I wasn't tripping, I saw it with my own eyes! So, whatever, if it's true, let's just take the win and run with it!!! ; )
