Need help – what's a fair price for this laptop?
in Laptops ·
Hi there!
I’m currently in the market for a new laptop, and while I haven't set a hard limit on my budget just yet, I do have a pretty clear idea of what I need to accomplish. The real sticking point is that I’m a bit lost when it comes to the actual technical specifications; I can't quite figure out how much horsepower I actually require to get the job done, so I was hoping to lean on the collective wisdom here for some guidance.
Beyond the standard daily grind—you know, the usual office work, scrolling through social media, or catching movies—my main goal is to have a machine capable of running software like Finale without any stuttering or lag. I also plan on hooking up an external audio interface to run something like Pro Tools and Ableton Live. Honestly, as long as those specific tasks run smoothly, I don't really need anything more high-end than that.
Could anyone point me in the right direction regarding what kind of price range I should be looking at to find something that fits these needs?
...I hope this isn't asking too much; if I need to dig a little deeper into the specific system requirements for those programs, I'm happy to do so.
Thanks 😁

Best music movies?

I’m not entirely sure if there’s already an existing thread or perhaps something similar floating around this subforum, so if there is, please do point me in the right direction.
So, I was wondering if anyone might have some recommendations for music-centric movies—specifically anything centered around rock? (Or even better, if you know of something in the metal realm)
To be clear, I’m not really looking for documentaries or those standard band biographies; I’m thinking more along the lines of something fun like Rock School.
Thanks in advance
