I really just want to issue a warning to anyone considering rhinoplasty with Dr. Tončić—please, please take a long, hard look at the photos on his own website! I, unfortunately, didn't study them closely enough before my procedure with him. Now, four years later, I can say without any hesitation that it was the single most foolish decision I have ever made in my life. I think anyone who has left his clinic feeling dissatisfied will understand exactly what I mean—and believe me, I’ve met quite a few people who feel the same way over time. It seems like almost everyone walks away with an asymmetrical nose or various small and large bumps; in my specific case, he reduced one side of my nose so much that I'm now facing a revision surgery because the aesthetic result looks absolutely terrible. Of course, when I tried to actually discuss my dissatisfaction with the doctor, the conversation turned into nothing more than a series of baseless excuses—he basically concluded that "these things just happen." Well, they certainly *can* happen when a procedure is performed unprofessionally and, quite clearly, without any sense of aesthetics! I don't know how else to describe his statement, "your nose looks fine to me," when looking at an obviously ruined nose. And this isn't just my personal opinion, either—I've consulted with several other doctors, and every single one of them was equally horrified by the results.

So, I would truly recommend that everyone thinks very carefully about where they go. Learning from others' experiences can be so helpful, but in my view—aside from the surgeon's actual skill—the outcome depends most heavily on communication with your chosen doctor. You need to lay out your expectations in exhaustive, minute detail; you can't just lie down on the table and expect someone to magically guess exactly what you're picturing in your head!

Just because they are father and son doesn't mean they share the same vision or have the same eye for aesthetics... to me, it feels a bit unprofessional👎

But looking at it closely, I’ve convinced myself that things shouldn't actually be this way. I know of one specific case where, even after the first surgery, you could still feel those same dips and lumps just by running a finger along the inside. Of course, the surgeon insisted it was perfectly normal and that's just how it should be—but that's simply not true! Because of that dissatisfaction, a second procedure was performed by a different doctor, and everything went flawlessly; now the nose is perfectly smooth on the inside, with absolutely nothing felt when touching it... though, naturally, my own experience only deepened my frustration further🤣
Before the surgery, Tončić told me he would slightly straighten the nose (it wasn't particularly crooked, but it could definitely be nudged a bit more to the right😂), but once the operation was over, when I pointed out that it bothered me that he hadn't done it, he just gave me the usual excuses—claiming it was a much more complicated procedure and blah blah blah, etc. It was too late... personally, I suspect it might not be possible under local anesthesia, but surely it could be done under general anesthesia...

Even my breathing isn't right; you can actually see internally that the septum is crooked and the airway is too narrow. So, my big question is: does anyone know if it's actually possible to get a refund? I would love a revision, but certainly not with him! I really don't want to deal with this much drama again. I have to admit, though—his bedside manner and the way he treated me were truly lovely, which makes this whole situation even more heartbreaking. But after this experience? It wasn't even a big deal at all! I went to see Tony, and honestly, everyone was just so incredibly kind to you. They give you a little poke in the rear that you don't even feel, escort you into the OR, chat you up, and crack jokes just to help you relax. Then comes the anesthesia—you just slide your hands under those straps and the little IV—and from what I’ve heard, once that kicks in, everything becomes a bit dreamy. You hear things around you and feel a tiny bit of sensation, but there's zero pain; you're basically so high you wouldn't even notice if someone started pulling on your leg! You just feel amazing! In my case, I slept like a log—and if I did wake up at all, I don't remember a single thing. 🤷 You sleep for a bit, they move you around, and then... well, then comes the slightly annoying part. It doesn't hurt, but it is sooooo irritating! 🙂 There’s a bit of bleeding, you’re sleeping in a semi-upright position, you can't breathe through your nose so your mouth gets dry, swallowing feels a little weird, and your eyes swell up so you look a bit rough for a moment. Plus, you have to deal with the packing, which can be itchy—but let's face it, it all only lasts about seven days! So, it's really no biggie. Honestly, I could probably do this another hundred times, though I am hoping Tony will fix my nose during the next round so I can just skip the whole conscious part entirely! 🙂 😂

Oh, absolutely—everyone treats every tiny little thing like a massive ordeal after surgery! It was locally administered, but honestly, I didn't see, hear, or feel a single thing... based on everyone else's posts here, am I right in thinking it's mostly just the younger patients or those who had surgery more recently? 😕 I still have to ask: has anyone actually had a corrective procedure for a nose that was botched by Tony?! I actually ended up deleting my photos because I just get so self-conscious whenever I look at them! 🤣 It’s looking better than before, sure, but it's still not perfectly straight—and that’s what’s really eating at me right now. I mean, others might not notice immediately, right? Most people look at your face as a whole rather than scrutinizing your nose under a microscope, but once you focus solely on the nose, you can clearly see it veers off to one side. I know it's still quite early in the recovery process, and I realize it will eventually straighten out—it just won't happen overnight! If it were perfectly straight already, I wouldn't even care if it ended up being a little smaller, but this lack of symmetry is driving me absolutely crazy...🙂

About a month ago—and look, I’m not saying it was a total disaster right now, because honestly, the whole team was wonderful to me—everything went smoothly with the surgery and all that. In fact, if I think about it, I’d go back to him again for a second procedure! Part of me even feels like it's my own fault for not being more insistent on certain details. When I finally took the mold off, everything seemed fine—though, looking back, maybe it could have been a bit smaller—but then I took a photo and...😲from the front, you can clearly see the nose is tilting the wrong way! It’s quite noticeable; it lost a lot of its shape, and while I know it still needs time to settle, I just don't think it's going to straighten itself out naturally... so, there was a little drama and some crying for a few days, and I eventually concluded that I'll need another procedure. But ugh, I really don't feel up to it, especially since I don't want to go through those seven days of recovery all over again! Still, I will go—I'm just terrified he'll tell me it looks perfectly fine and that I don't actually need a revision. I have my follow-up appointment in a month, so we'll see what he says. I didn't want to cause a scene with him or myself any sooner than necessary, since I can't go immediately anyway—plus, I have no idea how long the healing process needs to be before a second 🤷
