Just wanted to let you all know that I pulled the mold off today, and my nose looks absolutely perfect!😍
Gary Wells2 said:I had nose surgery 25 days ago and I still haven't fully regained my sense of smell or taste. Is this normal?

I didn't lose my sense of taste or smell at all. But reading through the experiences shared on this forum, plenty of people lost them and needed a month or two before everything came back to normal.
Hey everyone, here’s my experience...

Surgery was Thursday around 5:15 PM. I woke up back in my room around 7:15 PM. They told me the rhinoplasty took about an hour and a half.
I figured I’d start from the beginning since I know those of you just waiting for your dates are probably feeling pretty anxious.🙂
I checked into the surgical center at 3:00 PM, got taken to my room, and they handed me a gown and some slippers. I had to shower in the antiseptic wash to make sure everything was sterile. The nurses popped in a few times to run an EKG and bring over anesthesia questionnaires that I had to fill out. Since I’m a massive worrier, they tried their best to get me to relax, but honestly, it wasn't really working. Around 4:40 PM, the anesthesiologist came by. We had a quick chat about my health, and she promised me I'd wake up just fine once the meds kicked in.🙂
At 5:00 PM, they came to pick me up and headed to the OR. I had to ditch the gown and stayed in just my underwear. They laid me on the table, and after they started the IV they set up in my room, they gave me something that made my head start spinning... After that, they injected one last thing, and the last thing I heard was "Goodnight, sleep well."
I woke up in my room with zero pain. No swelling, no bruising, and absolutely no nausea. I was just incredibly groggy from the anesthesia, which is totally expected. I stayed at the facility until the next day and headed home around 3:00 PM. By Friday evening, I noticed a little bit of swelling near the bridge of my nose and a tiny bump right there, but that was about it.🤷
I'm going in tomorrow to get the packing removed, but I'll tell you this: you can function and breathe reasonably well even with them in your nose. It’s not the disaster people make it out to be. Also, just a heads up—I don't strictly have to sleep on my back; I can handle sleeping slightly on my side too.
Anyway, I hope this helps someone out. Reading through the other posts here actually made everything I went through feel a lot more manageable.🙂

Who did you go see? 🙂

Thanks
🙂The Operation went great. I went to the Arithera Clinic to see Dr. Veir. Writing this on my phone right now, so once I can get on their Wi-Fi, I'll write up all the details. And here's the unbelievable part—not a single bruise, swelling, or anything. Nothing at all.
🤷
I've got nose surgery scheduled for today—happening in just a few hours. Honestly? I am seriously freaking out. 😲 If I make it through this, I'll check back in to tell you all how it went. 🙂

In what sense is he "bad"? Does he perform poorly, or is it something else? I’ve been in for two consultations with him and he seems perfectly fine to me. He doesn't overpromise anything; he just tells me how things are and how they're going to be, which I appreciated. Please tell me exactly what people are saying about him. Thanks.
Hey everyone

A few days ago, I went in for a consultation with Dr. Veir over at the Arithera Clinic, and I’ve officially decided to go through with it. I took a look at some of the implants he’s worked with, and they are honestly stunning. I’ve been putting this operation off for over ten years because I was terrified, so I don't even know how I finally found the nerve to pull the trigger🤷
The thing is, I am deathly afraid of anesthesia. 😕
Even though I’ve been under general anesthesia before, the fear is still very much there. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of pre-op panic? My date is in two weeks... Any words of comfort or personal stories would really help right now.🙂
Robert Scott16 said:To be honest, I wouldn't recommend him. My aunt went to see him and he didn't deliver what she actually asked for. He lifted her nasal tip way too much—she’s literally staring at the sky now. He didn't touch the width of the nose at all, left it with this overly saddle-shaped look, and created a depressing dip right in the middle of the bridge. Plus, I've heard stories about him dodging patients. If you aren't happy with the result, good luck getting a hold of him. He works privately at that clinic over in Los Angeles, and the catch is you have to pay out of pocket for every single follow-up and consultation.

Maybe he's fine for a deviated septum. That isn't rocket science. But for aesthetics? I'd suggest finding a private plastic surgeon instead.

But I'm actually going to see him privately at the Arithera clinic. I chose him based on recommendations and because they supposedly have the most advanced technology available. Honestly, I have a connection and a referral for Dr. Borica too, but I'm pretty skeptical about him... I'm not making the smartest moves here, and frankly, I'm terrified of surgery. But at 30 years old, I'm done avoiding photographers and hiding from my own profile pictures just because of this bump on my nose...
Hey everyone

So, after ten years of overthinking it, I’ve finally pulled the trigger on nose surgery—fixing the deviation and doing some aesthetic work while I'm at it. I decided on Dr. Veir, and I've got my consultation scheduled in a few days. Does anyone here actually know him? Can you give me the real scoop? Also, I’m spiraling a bit. The thought of anesthesia, the actual surgery, having those tampons pulled out, the sheer panic of not being able to breathe through my nose because of the packing... it's a lot. Honestly, I'm terrified.
Hey everyone,

I’m looking into getting nose surgery with Dr. Miller... I’m honestly terrified. I know he does it under local anesthesia, so my fear isn't even about the procedure itself—it's those infamous "24 hours" where you're stuck with nasal packing. How was the breathing situation for you? Was it a struggle? I’m also curious if anyone who had an easy time could describe what the recovery process looks like at his clinic. I just booked my consultation. Also, did any of you use a payment plan? I don't have the cash upfront, so that’s my only option. Besides credit cards, are there any other ways to handle the bill? Thanks for the help. 🙂
Rachel Fisher97 said:So, this is how doctor Tončić replied to my email.

The price for rhinoplasty is $3667 if you're paying by card (normabel, master, vis, Diners, American Express) with monthly installments ranging from 2 to 12 months, or through consumer loans over 2 to 60 installments, depending on which card you use. If you pay cash, the price drops to $3333, since we offer a significant discount for cash payments. If you decide to combine the aesthetic part with a functional procedure—basically septoplasty—the total cost would be $4400 for card payments and $4000 for cash.

😉

Thanks for the info, 🙂
Hey everyone,

So, I’m looking into getting a rhinoplasty with Dr. Toncic. I need to know what the damage looks like regarding the total cost and how people usually handle the bill. What kind of payment options are on the table? How many installments can I stretch it over? Thanks for any info.
