Hi there!
I was wondering if anyone might know—if a noticeable crunchiness develops at the tip of the nose after rhinoplasty, is that something that could potentially be smoothed out with injections, or would I likely need to undergo the surgery all over again? Thanks so much!
slydriver56 said:Yeah, honestly, I was under the impression that Davor Džepina used to work with those actresses, so I totally messed that up—thanks so much for clearing up that it's actually Ivo Džepina.

I suppose it’s just really important to me that I get this done perfectly, especially since I'm already prepared to set aside the money for it; I really don't want to end up disappointed, because aesthetics are everything to me, and I'm honestly terrified that if I pick someone who isn't completely honest about what's possible, I might undergo surgery only to find there's barely any visible difference afterward.
I am truly looking for a drastic transformation; I want a much smaller nose, and while mine isn't exactly ugly now—it's just flat—I'm hoping for perhaps something slightly upturned, narrow, and small.
You might suggest I should just go to Glumicic since he specializes in those types of results, but for some reason, I feel like he's more of a last resort for me.

I think I'm leaning more toward either Žgaljardić, Kincl, or maybe even Ivo Džepina.

Thank you so much for letting me know there are actually two different Džepinas out there! 🙂))

It seems somewhat unlikely that you can go from having a large nose to a very tiny one with just a single procedure; in most cases, I know people who have had to go through two or three surgeries to get the result they wanted. Personally, I'm dealing with a bump and I'll probably head back to Glumicic for another session in a year or two.
Betty Bailey4 said:Could you maybe just give me a quick rundown of why you weren't quite happy with that first edit? Thanks!

It isn't quite short enough, I suppose; I mean, it's actually pretty good, but I think I might want to trim it down just a tiny bit more.

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone might know whether the costs stay roughly the same if we decide to go back to the same surgeon for a follow-up procedure, or if there might be some kind of discount applied? Thank you so much.🙂
I finally took the mold off today, and I have to say, I am just absolutely thrilled with how everything looks!!!
I still have some bandages on for another couple of days or so, and there is definitely still some swelling, but honestly, I’m actually quite happy with the progress.
My nose is also acting up a bit with all the congestion and stuff -_-
Wishing everyone the best of luck!

I suppose I am mostly interested in seeing what the final results actually look like, though I guess we might have to wait maybe a year or so before we can truly tell. 🤣
I was wondering, if you wouldn't mind remembering us, maybe you could possibly share a few photos in about two or three months? 🙂
Since I’ve always been a bit skeptical about just handing everything over to someone else, I really hope you find everything to be alright with him and that you end up being truly satisfied with the results! 🙂

I might be able to snap a photo for you later; I'm planning on stripping off the mold this Wednesday, though I suspect I’ll probably end up looking like a little piglet, haha! :-)
Thank you so much.🙂)
brisklynx42 said:Hi there. I had an Operation on my nose about two weeks ago, but honestly, it feels even wider now than it did before. I wonder if it might just still be swollen? Or maybe something else is going on??

It's most likely just the swelling, so I would suggest being patient for at least another month or two. :-)
Hello everyone! :-)
My own Operation took place yesterday around noon, and I have to say, I’m feeling quite alright. I don't really have any significant pain, though there is some slight swelling and just a little bit of bruising underneath one of my eyes. It doesn't truly hurt, except perhaps when I touch the bridge of my nose with my hand, where things feel a bit tender and swollen between my eyes.
I actually managed to get a little bit of sleep last night, which was a relief. I've been applying those compresses from the DMA quite frequently.
If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to ask me! :-)
Wishing you all the best of luck
Karen Clark12 said:Honestly, I was just incredibly persistent with the ice packs and compresses while I was at the hospital during those first four really rough days, so I think it looks pretty great now. My nose is still a little bit swollen, I guess, and I still have a few purple bruises here and there, but they seem to be fading 🙂. The only real issue is that my face feels incredibly oily and I'm breaking out quite a bit, whereas my nose feels totally dry and keeps peeling, which hurts since I can't really touch it too much. It wasn't actually painful for me, just sort of uncomfortable, though nothing too extreme, so maybe you could handle 🙂
here are some photos of my nose before and after 🙂 (just a heads up, the first one isn't the best, and the second one was taken on a pillow, so my hair is everywhere 😁 )

Wow, you look absolutely amazing right now!! :-) ... Man, I am so jealous! And don't even get me started on the oiliness; I'll probably be dealing with PMS during my recovery, haha, so my whole face will likely just bloat up. I guess I'll just have to arm myself with plenty of acne creams, haha 😛
Karen Clark12 said:I took the mold off this past Wednesday, and I honestly feel so incredibly happy with the results!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
The profile looks absolutely perfect, though it seems a little bit swollen from the front, but I suppose that’s just because it's only been about 12 days 🙂)

How is your recovery coming along? If you wouldn't mind sharing, I would really appreciate any helpful advice you might have, since I guess I'm having my operation next week 😁
Rachel Vaughn85 said:It seems like you're really happy, so I suppose everything went smoothly 😁 I am truly glad for you, though I must admit I feel a bit hesitant about him; I've heard there have been quite a few lawsuits filed against him, and honestly, that sort of square tip on the nose—it looks just like Jackson's—really unnerves me, especially since I've noticed so many people seem to end up with that same look :// Plus, if we're being honest, he is on the pricier side 😁

Here are some examples:

I think I've decided to go with him because my nose actually has a similar shape already, so I really just need to focus on slimming it down and shortening it, and since that specific profile suits my face perfectly, I feel okay with it; if that wasn't the right fit for me, I probably would have looked for someone else entirely, which is why I'm sticking with him 😁
I think I'd actually love to have one like Emina's, haha 😛
Rachel Vaughn85 said:I completely agree. I am actually planning to visit Dr. Munitić and Dr. Tončić sometime today or tomorrow. I haven't heard a single negative thing about Dr. Munitić, which honestly feels like quite a miracle since you can find criticism for anyone—especially someone who has been in the field for over thirty years—but he clearly seems incredibly skilled. As for Dr. Tončić, I’m still feeling a little skeptical, though I suppose he might be a solid option too.

From everything I have gathered while reading through this thread over the last two years, I feel like I definitely wouldn't want to leave myself in the hands of Glumičić, Ostojić, Klapan, or Žgaraljdić... I seem to have noted the most drawbacks with them, as people have complained more about them and shared negative experiences, even though I’m sure there are plenty of satisfied patients out there; they just feel a bit too risky to me. But then again, that is just my personal take.

Ultimately, it is up to you to ask around, listen to what others have gone through, gather as much info as possible, and really scrutinize the photos on their websites or Facebook pages (which can sometimes tell you everything, because I’ve looked at certain surgeons' albums and concluded they basically give everyone the exact same nose shape, which suggests they might not truly listen to what the patient wants—though of course, a patient also has to trust the surgeon's judgment and realize some things just aren't feasible). For instance, some surgeons seem to favor a specific upturned look for everyone, whether it actually suits them or not, while others barely make any changes at all, yet there are certainly some whose work I actually quite like.
Or, I read about cases where a surgeon produces a beautiful aesthetic result, but the actual function of the nose ends up being compromised—which, of course, is something nobody wants, and breathing should probably remain more important than just how the nose looks.

Researching these kinds of details takes a bit longer, so please, just take your time and try to be smart about it! 😍 I am also still searching, and I am waiting until I land a job first, and since that isn't happening anytime soon, unfortunately, 😛 I am hoping to use this time wisely to find the right person rather than rushing blindly into something just because I'm impatient and can't wait any longer. 🙂 If I have managed to wait this long, I can certainly hold out a little longer! You should do the same, without putting too much pressure on yourself! 🙂

Oh, I was doing the exact same thing, though in the end, I actually decided to go with Glumičić. 😁
Arthur Gray14 said:I honestly don't even know if I should go through with this or not, or who I should even see; I feel completely overwhelmed by it all, so if anyone could please help me out and suggest which surgeon you think is actually good? Thanks.

That is such a difficult thing to say, because I suppose everything is just so incredibly individual... For every single surgeon, I imagine there will be both wonderful and terrible reviews, so it's really hard to pinpoint who the absolute best might be... Maybe you could try looking online first to check out the specific work each one has done, and then perhaps narrow it down to just two or three options, and once you do that, schedule some consultations to see which one leaves the strongest impression on you... at least, that's what I ended up doing myself.😁
Karen Clark12 said:As for me, 😁 😁 😁 I also went through my Operation—a septorhinoplasty at the Rijeka University Hospital Center! I was scheduled for March 4th, but since my doctor, Kujundžić, wasn't in the hospital those days, I didn't actually undergo the surgery until March 10th, right as soon as he returned. 🙂
They gave me something to prevent nausea before I woke up (since I usually struggle with motion sickness and nausea), so I suppose I didn't have any issues there. There wasn't really any pain; I just took one Voltaren because my gums were feeling sensitive, and some Tylenol for a fever I had on the third day. On that third day, the swelling was honestly just massive, but I finally went home today and by this evening, the yellowish bruising has already started to fade. I was, I guess, extremely, extremely persistent with the ice packs (using a gel pack from CVS $6.00 which was absolutely top-tier), and while the gel was cooling down, I would apply cold compresses made of plain water and even chamomile tea compresses! Believe me, it truly is worth the extra effort to fuss over it! As for the nasal packing... well, let's just say it was gentle, but the sensation itself was just totally unpleasant. I'm getting this splint removed next Wednesday, so I'll let you all know how everything looks then! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hey, which CVS gel pack were you using? I have my surgery coming up in about a month, so I want to be prepared. Thanks!
frozenwalker3 said:Alright, please let us know how everything turns out. I've heard some whispers lately that people haven't been entirely satisfied with his work, mostly because the changes to the nose tend to be almost imperceptible.

I'll definitely give you an update once my operation is over at 4:00.--
I guess he explained exactly what he plans to do, which was pretty much what I had envisioned for myself anyway, so I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it all actually turns out in the end. :-)
frozenwalker3 said:Alright. I am actually planning on visiting him as well. I was wondering if he only accepts cash, or if there might be an option to pay in installments?

Well, I suppose you might be able to use a credit card, though I have this feeling that the price might end up being a little bit higher if you do.
frozenwalker3 said:I wonder if that's a fixed price?

I suppose that might be the set price for now... though I guess it probably varies quite a bit depending on the specific situation.
Betty Edwards22 said:So, what exactly are you getting for those 5 bucks? 😁

Well, I honestly don't have a clue, though I suppose that's just how they have it listed on their price sheet, much like how they charge for consultations.$84😁
Hi everyone, I have an Operation scheduled at Glum in about a month or maybe a month and a half...
🙂Just so anyone was wondering, the total cost comes out to $2,400 or so if that helps at all.
Wishing everyone the best of luck!!!
