Sophia Taylor10 said:Hey everyone.
Just wanted to share my experience. I had nose surgery with Dr. Glumicic about three weeks ago.
My profile was honestly terrible—just a really noticeable hump. It looked okay from the front, but the side view was just awful.
Anyway, I told him exactly what I wanted. I didn't want that fake, overly upturned "button" look; I just wanted the hump smoothed out, narrowed slightly at the tip, and lifted. The surgery itself went great. Honestly, it’s not as scary as people make it out to be. He’s a really nice, charming guy, and everything felt smooth.
So, six days after the surgery, I finally got the cast off. At first, I was in total shock because I didn't recognize myself. Suddenly, I had this cute, small, straight nose! I actually liked it pretty quickly. I wore those medical tapes for two days, but once I stopped, the swelling started kicking in. It was so obvious 😢 and just kept getting worse. It's been three weeks now, and my nose looks nothing like that cute little thing
I'm wearing 😢 and it's starting to look more like how it did before the surgery. It's awful. Has anyone else dealt with this?
I went back for a follow-up last week, and he just told me it's totally normal. He said it's just swelling that will eventually go down and that I just have to
be patient. I don't really get how this is "normal," though, because this current look is nothing like how it looked right after the cast came off 😢 does anyone have similar experiences?
Sophia Taylor10, that's totally normal. For me, it stayed swollen for about six months, especially the tip. It changes every single day—it's usually at its worst in the morning, then it settles down... basically, what you saw right after the cast came off is pretty much what you should expect after a few months. It varies from person to person, but you definitely shouldn't expect final results within 3 to 6 months.
I just finished my consultation with Dr. Glumicic today. My nose and chin surgery is officially scheduled for August, and I honestly can't wait! :-D
Linda Cox2 said:Can someone tell me if this is normal? It's been two weeks since my rhinoplasty, and I can actually feel the bone under my skin on one side when I touch it. I had my surgery done by Glumcic.
No, that definitely doesn't sound normal... A friend of mine went through something similar where she has this little bump you can only feel when touching it, though you can't see it from the outside.
I think your best bet is to reach out to your doctor and ask. What exactly did he do during the procedure?
Ashley Bishop43 said:Kimberly Thompson75, if Glumcic is doing your eyelid work, you might be able to get the rhinoplasty done at the same time. As for whether Dr. Djepin can handle both together, I'm really not sure.
to odradit, ne znam.
Looks like I'm getting everything wrong here, haha... yeah, that's exactly what I meant—doing it all at once. Honestly, I'm just a little nervous about how those first few days are going to go.🙂
Grace Morales74 said:If you don't mind, just lay it all out for me. Give me the full rundown. 🙂 So, what's your deal with nose jobs? Why aren't you a fan?😢
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking too. Might as well just get everything done at once while I'm at it. I'm heading in for my consultation soon, so we'll see! :-*
goldenranger7 said:Dr. Eeej, thanks for getting back to me. I’m honestly just dying to know if he actually builds what you ask for, or if he just does his own thing and somehow makes everyone happy anyway. 😲
It's one thing when a doctor tells you one thing during a consultation, but it's totally different when you see someone's actual results after surgery. Then you can tell from experience if they actually listen or not.
I'm definitely not heading in for anything anytime soon, so just let me know whenever—feel free to shoot me a DM if you remember, thanks! 🙂
So, this last friend of mine who had it done, she was really specific about what she wanted. He showed her photos of exactly what she asked for, and that's exactly how she turned out. Honestly, I feel like everyone *says* they want one thing, but doctors rarely follow those exact wishes, or if they do, it doesn't always turn out right. When I saw Dr. Ostojić, I was super clear about my goals... they never touched my bone, just the tip of my nose. It actually looked more natural before than it does now, so I'm really hoping Dr. Glumcic can fix that up for me. 😁
Does anyone know if Dr. Djepin works together with him? I'm also asking wanderingstag9, if she happens to know anything.
wanderingstag9 said:Could be. $200 Maybe you just feel that way
during the day.
It’s definitely a win if that’s an option.🎉
goldenranger7 said:Quick question for anyone who’s been in for a consultation with Dr. Glumcic lately—I'm looking for some fresh perspectives. If you've seen him in the last few months, what was your take? 🙂 Anyone else feeling a little let down by how things turned out? I’m curious if you all feel like your actual wishes were heard, or if the end result just went in a completely different direction—not necessarily a bad thing, mind you, but just... not what you initially asked for. 🙂
I’ve got an appointment scheduled with him in about eight months for my rhinoplasty. Honestly, a friend of mine went recently and she was absolutely thrilled—honestly, pretty much all my girlfriends who saw him years ago had the exact same reaction. I actually ended up scrambling to book because whenever I tried to get in, nothing lined up with my schedule, so I just grabbed whatever opening I could find. If you aren't planning on going anytime soon, I can always give you the lowdown on how it goes for me.😁 Of course, you’re going to find some girls who aren't exactly thrilled with his work. But let's be real—they probably wouldn't have been any happier if Dr. Borić had gone with option XY either. It's just one of those things.
Grace Morales74 said:I'm really sorry you had to go through all of that. It sounds like a lot. Anyway, keep me posted on how things are going. 🙂 I'm really hoping for a better outcome this time around. 😛
I'm crossing my fingers too.😁I'll definitely let you know how everything turns out.
Hey ladies, I’m popping back in after a long while to share my experience, though unfortunately, it hasn't been exactly a dream. When I first went in for my nose job, I was pretty clueless—didn't really dive into forums or do much research. I just went straight to Dr. Borić, and honestly? He didn't just mess things up; he left me with this weird, upturned look that I hated. That disaster actually pushed me to start reading everything I could find online to figure out which surgeon could actually fix this mess. Eventually, a friend suggested Dr. Ostojić, saying he basically saved her nose from some previous botched jobs. A few girls on the forums seemed thrilled with him too, so I figured, why not give it a shot? I went in for a consultation, we worked out the details, and a week later, I was on the operating table. Everything went smoothly at first, and I was actually relieved because he told me I wouldn't even need nasal packing. I was like, "Awesome!" But man, once they took the cast off, I just crossed my fingers and prayed. I kept thinking, *please let this be better*, while he was standing there insisting my nose looked PERFECT. I remember asking him, "Doctor, I really hope it doesn't look like this in a year?" and he just doubled down, telling me again how perfect it was. I just nodded, secretly praying it wouldn't stay wide, triangular, and upturned forever. Well, fast forward 1.5 years, and I'm telling you, the nose is hideous. Honestly, I’d almost prefer how it looked right after the cast came off. It somehow got even worse. On top of everything, I have a hole right in the middle, one side is larger than the other, and I still have surgical threads inside my nose after 18 months! They were supposed to dissolve ages ago—does anyone know why they're still there?? Anyway, I'm heading to see Glumcic in August. I'm really hoping he can actually fix this wreck. :-D
Gary Wells2 That's just how things go...
I actually went to see Ostojic for a revision surgery myself... Honestly, Boric kind of messed up my nose after the first operation; my nose just completely collapsed and turned pointy, it looked pretty terrible... But Ostojic really fixed it right up 🙂
Honestly, I don't have any bruising at all right now, even though they went way deeper this time than the first visit.🙂
My first disastrous nose job with Boric was a total nightmare. I had those massive tampons shoved up there, and my face was just swollen and bruised like a giant blueberry. Then he put that mold on top, and now I’m dealing with a ton of heavy taping plus the mold itself. Even with all that, I can already tell my nose looks five times smaller... My nasal bone hasn't actually been touched because it's pretty low and narrow, so nobody ever messed with it.
Oh my God, what did I just write?😁😁😁I meant the tampons he didn't put in for me🙂
I was torn between seeing Ostojic or Glumicic, but I ended up going with Ostojic 🙂
The mold didn't even work for me since there wasn't any bleeding 😁😁
Hey everyone🙂
Does anyone happen to know what Glumicic charges for nose surgery, and how they handle payments? Thanks a bunch😁
rustygardener172 said:User123, I actually went to see Tony first, but he turned me away with his attitude. My next stop on the list was supposed to be Ostojic, but somehow I ended up at Glusac's office instead, and I decided right then and there to have him do the surgery 😁 For me, both the first and second 🙂 were such a mess... I didn't even feel the recovery period, I just looked terrible 😁
It’s all about who you trust the most. That’s how I handled it, and honestly, I’m really happy and satisfied with my choice.🙂😁
rustygardener172 said:It doesn't really sound like you're sharing your own experience here... it sounds more like you're telling someone else what they should or shouldn't do. If you had just said you think jumping from doctor to doctor is silly, that would be your opinion, and honestly, I wouldn't have even bothered responding—there are all kinds of people on here. But you're giving "advice" that, if you ask me, isn't actually very good.
I can see there’s still some confusion. Just a little occupational hazard, I guess 😁
. But hey, I am genuinely glad your procedure went well. Truly.
Besides, I didn't just bounce between doctors either. I saw two. I would've gone ahead with the first one immediately if I had felt a connection, but I just didn't. Good for the people who know right away, but not everyone works that way.
P.S. Not everyone reading this is an adult. You only have to read a few posts back to realize that. Though, I suppose that doesn't really change the point we're debating...
And I'm not sure if you actually read my posts properly. Before Dr. Smith, I was seeing Dr. Jones, and then I went to Dr. Smith. It just didn't click for me, so I might have looked into Dr. Ostojić instead. As for being an adult, I feel like anyone seriously considering a procedure like this is mature enough... but you don't need to scare these girls with that. Honestly, the scariest part is the anesthesia, yet nobody ever talks about that...
Just wanted to share a little more about my experience. My pain threshold is super low and I’m pretty sensitive, so I was nervous since this is the biggest procedure I’ve ever had done. Honestly? I didn't feel any actual pain at all. I'd describe it more as just some discomfort—except for when they had to remove the tampon, which was definitely awkward, but it only lasts a second so you can power through it. Just hoping this helps someone out! Good luck, ladies, you've got this!
