Hey there,

Just checking in 13 days post-op... (Closed technique, Dr. Munitić)
Once they took the splints out, I didn't have any bruising (yellow, blue, whatever...) I just looked like a total puffy little bun... (super swollen cheeks) but things have deflated a lot already and hopefully even more soon. This girl who had her surgery two days after me and got her splints out the same day wasn't swollen at all, zero bruising either. 🙂 🙂

Honestly, it couldn't be better—I'm happy for now, though I don't even know myself yet. One minute I feel okay, the next I don't, mostly because it's still swollen and my nose looks kind of huge from the profile side... BUT my family and friends say it looks great... I guess it's not really realistic to expect perfection this early on, right?

I'm not using saline rinses. Breathing is awesome, way better than before... (besides the cosmetic stuff, I had a deviated septum too..) I'd recommend everyone once the splints are out to just lightly dab some olive oil inside the nose with a Q-tip.. For me, everything cleared out inside without any issues.. just a tiny bit left near the stitches (but barely anything)...

I didn't even bother asking the doctor about the stitches, and he didn't mention them at all (lol)

All in all, just waiting for the swelling to go down and hoping it looks even better. To anyone still on the fence, I'd say just go for it.. It’s nothing scary... (It was way worse when I almost sliced half a finger off.. hehehhe) and I was seriously terrifieddddd...

Best,
Well, here I am... hehehe

So, everything is set with Dr. Munitić.. surgery is this Saturday..
He and his fellow surgeon walked me through the whole thing.. really laid it all out for me...

We'll just have to see how it goes, I guess.. I'll let you guys know if I make it out alive.. 😉)
I haven't had a decent night's sleep in days... and seriously, nobody is talking about what it's actually like
right before the surgery starts.. the prep and all that stuff... Your mind can play tricks on you, but mine
is clearly just being a total nightmare.. aaaaa 🙂) I'm literally dreaming about this nose.. or rather, having actual nightmares.. aaaaa

Crazy 😁
Hey everyone..

Has anyone here actually seen Dr. Munitic, or does anyone know what people's experiences have been like with him??
So, I heard from this one girl that she was super happy with him, and apparently a few of her friends were too.. but a long time ago, I almost went to see him and my GP was like... don't bother going to him.. ughhhhh
Nicole Ortiz34 said:my advice for private patients 🙂 I ended up in the hospital and everything went south 🙂 now I'm just waiting 6 months so I can get corrective surgery, and time is dragging so slow 🙂
Bagatin and Zgaljardic usually go with open techniques, which honestly terrifies me. Davor Đepina is a good deal at 1800 bucks, same with Toncic, so I'm torn between Glusac and Đepina. Glusac didn't give me a quote yet so I'm not sure, but I know it's somewhere between 11000-$5000 depending on how complicated the surgery gets

Nicole Ortiz34 thanks so much 🙂

Which hospital were you at? I'm almost ready to go for my rib... but I totally panicked when I heard you might agree to one doctor but then some intern or trainee ends up doing the actual surgery... or something like that. Good for them, they gotta learn somewhere I guess, but if it weren't for my face, maybe I'd let them try, but not like this..🤦

As for the technique, I don't really know... all I care about is that it turns out right, regardless of the pain. So here's the thing... is there a specific technique that's easier for them? How much does it depend on the patient's nose shape, and how much does the recovery time change based on the technique used?????!🤷 And also so ma😕ny questions

...
Hey there

Newbie on the forum here... HELp me out

I'm still totally torn; should I go private or stick to the regular route?
The more I read through these threads, the more confused I get.. 🤷

Has anyone here actually dealt with the Bagatin clinic or seen Dr. Zgaljardic?
16 $0.00 over at Bagatin.. and I'm just a college student🙂

What's the verdict based on your experiences (is the price actually worth the quality)?!
Thanks!!
