Chris Moore3 said:In my experience, it’s just swelling. I took a look at my own nose after my procedure, and there was that same slight bumpiness and white patches where the stitches were, but it eventually smoothed out as the tissue healed... Just try not to panic right away. Let the nose heal on its own—that takes time. And whatever you do, don't go pulling at those stitches unless they've already come loose on their own. How is your breathing holding up?

I'm not panicking. But I think I'll probably have a doctor take a look at it anyway...🙂
One side is still more swollen than the other, making it harder to breathe on that side...
How are you doing? Expired yet?
I noticed today that a little white bump has popped up inside one of my nasal carriers... I'm assuming the cartilage is sitting right where the swelling is. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm wondering if it’ll just heal on its own or if I'm looking at another Operation
It’s been 17 days since my Operation. I’m actually pretty happy with how my nose looks, though one side is significantly more swollen than the other (I'm just praying it's just swelling and not some mistake by the surgeon 😲). Could you guys tell me how long it took for your nose to finally settle down?
I could use some advice... I have an operation scheduled for Monday, but I woke up today with a fever of 98.6...
Is it actually smart to go through with the surgery?
Daniel Sullivan36 said:So, I’ve decided to head to my doctor in two days, who will undoubtedly refer me to an ENT. It got me wondering if anyone knows for sure whether the Rijeka Medical Center handles aesthetic procedures alongside those nasal issues—specifically if they'll cover it through Medicare. I mean, I'm not questioning the person who told me they do, but I just want to be absolutely certain before I drive all those miles...

They do... though they only offered me the aesthetic option.
Maria Wright54 said:I stopped by his place on Friday and caught a glimpse of what was on his computer...🙂
plus I've already chatted with a few girls on here who have been to see him before...

So, what’s everyone’s experience been like?
Has anyone here actually been to see Unknown before? I'm looking for some honest feedback...🙂
I need to go in for a checkup, but honestly, I'm a little nervous about picking the right doctor so I don't end up having a repeat of my last experience.
Maria Smith73 said:Hey everyone. I recently had nose surgery with Zambelli... My nose is incredibly swollen and painful right now. Does anyone know where in Washington, D.C. I could get some lymphatic drainage massage to help reduce the swelling? Anyone have experience with this...🙂

I'm thinking about booking with Zambelli, so I was wondering if you've had a good experience there. Did they go in with an open or closed technique...
I actually had a different take on this. I was told it isn’t just some bone callus, but rather that my septum collapsed because the surgery was way too aggressive. Apparently, that "bump" is just my original bone becoming visible now that the septum has given way. They mentioned a potential follow-up surgery in about a year where they could harvest cartilage from my ear to fill in the gap... So, there you have it. I went in to fix my breathing, and now I'm stuck looking at this terrifying saddle nose shape.
Nicole Ortiz34 said:honestly, I feel for you... there are more of us every single day, and it’s frustrating because we'll probably have to deal with this all over again 😢 I'm just so annoyed about it 🙂 is that hump hard to the touch, or is it more soft? if it's hard, I doubt it'll pass, but if there's even a little bit of softness, there might be hope 🙂

It's hard as a bone
casualbison3 said:😲 I really feel for you, but I'm crossing my fingers that it clears up soon. 😉
For me, it’s not completely gone yet, but it is definitely shrinking...

Did you end up dealing with the same thing I am? And how long did it actually take before that hump—that bone callous—started to shrink? I know I'm being a bit much, but I could really use some reassurance...😂
So, I’m back from my checkup. The doctor told me it’s just some bone callus that formed right where the fracture was. He said it’ll likely stay like this for a few months, and if it doesn't shrink down... well, then I'm looking at a second surgery. Not exactly the news I was hoping for.🙂
Just as an aside, my nose looks like a complete disaster.
Nicole Ortiz34 said:I'm taking Advil too, haha... 🙂 nothing seems to touch mine; if anything, it’s just getting worse... 🙂 Fingers crossed yours works out. Which doctor are we talking about? I'd like to know who to avoid...

Thanks. I've got my fingers crossed for you, too. It feels wrong to start badmouthing a doctor when I don't even know what the final outcome will be yet... but if things stay this way, I'll let you all know immediately. Though, I am out in Indianapolis!
velvetmoose9 said:Generally speaking, there's one particular surgical procedure that looks absolutely terrifying at first, but after a few weeks pass... people tend to wake up feeling very (pre)satisfied with the results. 😉
It’s highly probable... and honestly, it’ll probably turn out the same way for you too... 🙂
Let me know how the appointment went...

Just checking in. Have you dealt with anything like this? I didn't have any swelling or bruising at all and felt like I was recovering perfectly fine... until today, when I finally took the bandage off and saw the reality of it. Shocking...
So, here’s where things stand... I’ll probably be walking around town covered in bandages for a few months until this finally settles down...🙂

Nicole Ortiz34 said:That’s exactly how it felt for me at first, too, but you eventually just get used to whatever the reality is... Of course, it would be better if we were actually satisfied, but... 😢 So, who exactly did you have the surgery with? I'm currently stuck in that waiting game, just counting down the six months until I can finally get this disaster fixed... ☕ I hope things aren't turning out quite as messy on your end as they are for me...

I went to see a private specialist to deal with my function first and foremost, and while I was at it, some aesthetics... ended up paying 15,000.00. 🙂
Nicole Ortiz34 said:I didn't have a broken nose per se, but this bump showed up right where a nasal hump usually forms—something I definitely didn't have before. 🙂 It actually looked smaller right after I got the cast off, but now it’s gotten bigger and doesn't look like it's going anywhere, so I'll probably have to go back in... 🙂

I'm not sure. My bone is fractured. It looks pretty rough, and honestly, I have zero desire to leave my house.🙂
I'm heading to Pon. for a follow-up, so we'll see what they tell me. I'm not exactly holding my breath for a dramatic improvement...
Nicole Ortiz34 said:So where exactly is this bump? I ended up with one too, but it's more of a hump that wasn't there before, and it hasn't gone away... even though my doctor mentioned it might eventually subside 🙂 Are you dealing with a hump, or just some little bump somewhere on your nose?

I actually have a massive hump right where the bone joins, just slightly below the bridge of my nose. Was yours quite large too? How long has it been since your surgery? I'm really hoping it at least shrinks down, because honestly, I don't know what I'll do if it doesn't...
Ten days ago, I underwent nose surgery. Since they had to break the bone, I’ve been left with this massive lump that definitely wasn't there before. The doctor claims it'll eventually flatten out, but honestly, looking at how huge it actually is, I’m having a hard time believing him. Has anyone else here dealt with something like this? I’m feeling pretty desperate right now...
